  • Unique Seating for Unique Students

    Super excited that we will have these new, alternative seats available for the start of the school year.

    Students will have ths opportunity to explore the different seating options to determine which are best for their individual learning needs.

    They will be able to switch throughout thr day as their sensory needs alter.”

Students on the spectrum have a wide range of needs. Providing an assortment of seating options provides students the opportunity to increase their awareness of what their bodies are telling them that they need. T-stools allow students to strengthen their core as they get to move. Bean bag chairs allow them to feel cuddled. Howda Hug 2 seats will give them guidance as to where they belong independently. There is a spectrum of seating options for a spectrum of characteristics. Our students find it challenging to focus while sitting in the traditional, hard, stable chairs. When distracted by their limited seating option, they are not absorbing the curriculum provided.
