My students are children ages 3-5 that have been identified as having special needs. They may have delays in their cognitive, social-emotional, gross and fine motor, self help and communication development or a combination of all areas. They have educational disabilities such as Developmental Delay, Downs Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fragile X Syndrome, Apraxia, and Emotional Behavioral Disorders. My students attend a special education class 4 days per week where they receive their special education services including occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. They live in a high poverty and culturally diverse neighborhood.
