Fiber Arts for Student Growth
Funded Mar 1, 2022I wanted to say thank you once more for the donations you provided for our Fiber Arts Club. Although we had a few pitfalls along the way due to canceled afterschool buses, we could carve out time during the school day to meet and work on projects. The students are developing a love for fiber arts in our school thanks to our wonderful art teachers who have supported us as well.
Three students were able to come on a regular basis and tried many types of fiber art. The most popular was crochet and some actually began working on Animaguri projects before school gets out. I hope to be able to post more of their work later. They really enjoyed the time together and plan to return next year to continue working on other fiber arts projects.”

Falcons' Girls' Volleyball
Funded Sep 10, 2021The girls' varsity volleyball team was so excited to see their new sports bags and to have the same kneepads. They said that they really felt like a team! I am waiting for the pictures from the head coach to share with everyone!! Now that the season is over, the athletic director is sending the bags to be embroidered with HHS Falcons Girls' Volleyball. Thank you so much for the opportunity to boost the spirits of the students and provide an opportunity to feel pride in their team and in themselves.”

This classroom project was brought to life by DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation - Sports Matter and 4 other donors.Library Meets Art
Funded Dec 21, 2012This is a small token of appreciation from me for your generous donations toward our project. We have worked together to create an art project our students will be proud to dedicate to the school as a lasting testament of their dedication and hard work. The students have enjoyed this project immensely.
Our school is facing shortfalls in budgets and tightening of belts in non-classroom courses. This project will impact student growth in the arts and literacy. Art is such an important aspect in rural Title I schools such as ours as it provides an outlet for creativity that may get left behind as we strive to meet state and federal standards.
This project will give our students the ability to set a standard for others to follow. It will allow them to become leaders today and give them the knowledge that they may also be leaders in the future. In districts such as this, students need to know they can still make a difference and be the role model others need.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Weisser
Build-A-Library
Funded Mar 14, 2012Students were so excited to receive these books in our library; they barely gave us time to process for check out. What amazed me was their appreciation to all of you for donating to our project; even though they don't know you - you cared. Our students have been reading books with fewer than 20 pages and not interested in reading chapter books because they were too old to understand, battered, or too hard. They are so happy to have Geronimo Stilton (a new favorite) and Junie B. We feel blessed.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Weisser
