Imagine, you are solving a math problem sitting in a heat of 110 degrees... That is what my students have to do during three months of the school year...May, June, and September are some of the hottest months of a school year in NJ. Our classroom gets as hot as 110 degrees and often hotter than that in the late spring and summer. On those days, the classroom is 83 degrees at 7 am and neither fans nor open windows help to cool it off. One can feel an awe of heat hitting them as they open the door into the classroom... Yet, despite the humid and hot atmosphere, students come to class and do their best. An air conditioner would make such a difference! Thank you to all, who can make it happen!
