This soft green rug will serve as a base for children to role-play with their block play people while they problem solve and learn how to get along with others. With this complete set of block play people, children from diverse backgrounds will be able to find someone with whom to identify. Playing comes naturally for kids, and this space will give them the instant comfort level they need to be able to relax and start working through their emotions in a calm and safe space. Currently, the options available for students in the counselor's office are stuffed animals, games, books, bubbles, and art supplies. The addition of the rug and the block play people will bring a realistic representation during role play.
