• Please Give My Students a Voice!

  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. Making the switch to conducting teletherapy sessions in my home without any formal training has been a difficult task. With your help- my life as a speech therapist is much easier now with the addition of a printer and laminator to my home office. I can easily print off materials to use with my students. I can make durable communication boards to send home via mail. My students and their families are making progress in successful communication in the home.”

• Assessing Children with Autism

  Thank you so much for funding my project. The speech and language assessment that you funded has helped me and my students in many ways. We are very grateful. To start, this year, I was able to appropriately assess my students and establish baseline data for creating and tracking Iep goals. Secondly, my students actually enjoy participating in the assessment. They love the manipulatives included. Overall, the assessment that you funded has really helped to improve speech and language therapy for my students. I am now confident when explaining to parents and other staff exactly what age level the student is at (receptively and expressively). Thank you again! Your kindness is so appreciated!”

• Printing Visuals for Students with Autism!

• Autism-Narrative Development With Use of Visuals!

  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. All of the new materials have made therapy more exciting and fun for my students. The children love the new story books! They have begun to use the story manipulatives and felt board to retell stories to their friends. With the new organizational bins, the students can quickly access books of their interest. This has given them a sense of pride and independence that is priceless. They couldn't have gotten there without your help. Thank you again for helping to change my students' lives.”

• Using iPad For Financial Literacy With Children With Autism

  Thank you for your generous donations! The iPad has helped my students in every way. First, many of my students have improved their vocabulary and engagement during speech therapy. We are utilizing wonderful apps to learn about numbers, money, concepts, and narratives. Additionally, I am using the iPad as a programmatic communication device to give nonverbal children with autism a voice. • Autism - Building on the Language of Health, Hygiene & Nutrition

First, many of my students have improved their vocabulary and engagement during speech therapy. They have learned how to categorize vocabulary words and how to use them in their daily lives. Additionally, my students have become more comfortable during activities of daily living. The sequencing cards have exposed them to different daily activities. They have learned how to go about doing things that we may take for granted. Lastly, the books have helped my students to improve their reading comprehension. They LOVE learning about how to stay safe and take care of their bodies. With all of the budget cuts that our school is enduring, your help is so much appreciated.   Thank you for your generous donations! The laminating sheets and Velcro have helped my students in every way. First, many of my students have new communication books to use throughout their day. They can finally communicate with the people around them. Not only that, but their books are durable, reliable, and colorful!. Additionally, the materials that you have donated have allowed me to create new and exciting language activities for my students. They love the velcro activities!!!
