  • Tuck Everlasting Book Club

    Funded Aug 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our project. My fifth graders are so excited to start our Fantasy Book Club unit. Your donation has allowed us to have a class set of Tuck Everlasting for our shared read aloud. Our students will be immersed in Socratic Seminars around this text. We will be having Socratic Seminars where we will have meaningful conversations to deeper our understanding of this story. Your generosity and support has given each of our students their own copy of this amazing mentor text. Thank you so much! As always, your generosity to our classroom is beyond appreciated.”

Thank you SO much for your incredible generosity to our fifth grade classroom. Scholastic News magazines are providing our students with engaging non-fiction texts. They are learning about multiple topics, history, culture, culturally responsive literature. The additional resources on Scholastic News are also so helpful in strengthening our students understanding of non fiction topics. We are able to watch videos, access different levels of the texts, high order thinking questions etc. Scholastic News is a wonderful additional resource that allows us to foster a love of reading for all of our students! Thank you so much!!!”

  • Social Emotional Learning Tools

    Funded May 12, 2021

Social Emotional Learning is a major component of our daily lives in school! Prioritizing the social-emotional learning of students, families and staff is an essential component of a supportive school environment. We are working hard to best support all learners by understanding the needs and strengths of our students. Your donations have given us individual journals for our students to write about how they feel and how their day is going. The first thing our students do when they come into our classroom is unpack and take out their journals! They love them! They are learning self-awareness and strategies to regulate their feelings. Thank you so much for your continued support to our classroom!!”

  • Walk Two Moons: Building a Culturally Diverse Library

    Funded May 4, 2021

Thank you so much for your support and generosity. Your kindness has enabled us to fill our library shelves with culturally relevant texts! Our students now have the opportunity to read and meet diverse characters! The books that you helped us get will provide opportunities to read "window" and "mirror" books--specifically, books in which they can learn about others as well as books in which they see themselves. Our students will be able to relate to the character (mirror) or learn from the character (window). Thank you SO much! This project holds a lot of meaning for us!”

  • MacBook Pro for SEL

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation! With your donation you have touched several student's lives in such a positive way. Many of my students at the beginning of this remote learning adventure were scared and unaware of all the wonderful things you can do online. I work with a very low income population and several of the students have never had any form of computer or internet in their homes. They didn't know how to use technology to their benefit and would often become bored or uninterested in the lessons. Your donation helped to open their eyes to a world of endless possibilities and a treasure trove of education experiences. My students look forward to coming into the virtual classroom and seeing all of the new and exciting things they are going to be able to do. From the bottom of all of our hearts thank you so much.”

My students are all amazing! Getting to know your students throughout the year is one of the most incredible experiences. They come into your classroom in September and we're all a little nervous. A lot of new things are happening. But, once they see that they're in a safe learning environment their personalities start to show and before you know it, it's like we've known each other forever. Each of my students are special and unique in their own way and I want to make sure I can give them the individual attention they need to succeed! My goal is to enable my students to achieve academic and social success!
