  • Help Us to Store Our Stuff!

    Funded Dec 2, 2015

Thank you all for making this dream become a reality. The children really love their new seat sacks. They have a better work area that is not cluttered with books and supplies. They have their necessary items behind them in easy reach and it easy very convenient for them to get their supplies. There is no more boxes dropping on the floor, no more crowding the cubby to get their supplies. They love to be able to do their work much quicker and easier with their new seat sacks. We cannot thank you enough for your help.”

  • We Want to Create Sculptures!

    Funded Oct 27, 2014

I cannot thank you enough for donating to my project for play-doh, just look at the smiles on the students faces as they got to create their sculptures. More students will be participating in this activity in the next few weeks, and I look forward to seeing the pure joy on their face when they get to create. It is so very important for a child's development to be able to use their imagination, and their hands to create something of their very own. As one of my students put it best " You mean I can make anything I want?" The look on his face was priceless when I answered yes! Thank You again for bringing such joy to them and me.”

  • Environmental Research and Technology

    Funded Feb 15, 2013

Thank You all for donating to my project, with budget cuts being implemented across the city, my students would not have this opportunity if not for your generosity. Technology is the future that all children will encounter, and need to be well versed in to be competitive in the future. Opportunities like this are what our students need to be competitive, with students from other areas. The earlier and more frequent their exposure to these resources, the sooner they obtain mastery. My students now have this opportunity thanks to your support.”

  • History Comes Alive

    Funded Dec 16, 2011

Thank You for donating to my project, the children will certainly enjoy exploring the artifacts brought by the Historical Society. It is important for the Children to learn about the history of the place where they live. The Historical Society is going to be coming regularly until the end of the year. The children will have the chance to interact with a museum educator and the objects she brings. These objects include maps, toys, pelts, and more. They will follow this in the spring with a Visit to the Historcal Society to the hands- on museum and our educator will be their guide. Learning history in this "hands-on" manner is something that the children will carry with them into adulthood. Thank- you for giving me the opportunity to bring this resource to the children.”

  • Help Art Create A Rainbow Of Color In My Classroom

    Funded Jun 26, 2011

opportunitiesopportunitiestheseyouyouyouThank You for the art supplies for my classroom, as you can see the children are enjoying working with them. It is very important that students learn how to express themselves in the visual arts field. TThey need to express themselves with colors, shapes, and other mediums. This is a place where students learn to shine it sometimes gives struggling students a chance to perform where other areas may not. Students who sometimes struggle with academics, can often shine in these areas. It makes them feel good about themselves, and often leads to better grades in other areas. The children really love using the watercolors to create pictures they can be proud of. Art is important to help the students on their path to become a citizen in the real world. Without this step many students will go off the path and not reach their full potential. Thank you for donating to my project so that these students have the opportunities.”

  • Help Bring Art To My Students

    Funded Dec 27, 2010

To all who donated to my project, I thank you for your generosity. My students would not have been able to create such beautiful paintings without it. We have learned how to use watercolors, create a still life, and created landscapes. We are looking forward to using the clay and other materials that have been donated thanks to your generosity. The students I teach are very creative and are capable of some beautiful work. These are supplies also help encourage the students who sometimes struggle in school. This is an area where they can shine, it gives them a good feeling and helps improve their self esteem. The study of art, is necessary for school age children, because they need to have visual learning, to make their learning complete. They need to learn About different types of art, and to do the best they can do. Without your assistance, I would not have had the opportunity to teach the children about art. We have studied Monet's waterlilies and some various artists with still life's. Many school children never get to see a museum, by allowing them this experience they can at least learn that these types of objects exist. I thank everyone again for your generosity, and look forward to help from you in the future. ”

    Mrs. Hammer
