Students learn by doing. By giving our students experiences in hands on learning, they will see how their efforts translate into successful outcomes. Collaborating with the art teacher will reinforce some of the principles of STEAM we are trying to apply. By combining some of the basic principles of science and art students will get excited about what they are creating and learning. Students will be working with paper, batteries, copper tape and LED lights to create something with electronics! The first project will be creating a simple circuit and lighting up some form of art they have created. Their efforts will actually light up the world. I hope to have this project grow and become a collaborative art installation we can display in the school and share with our community.
