  • Let's go Fishing for Words!

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this project. The teachers and the students were thrilled to see the letter tiles they get to use during literacy now!

Literacy time just got a lot more hands on for the students, and a lot more informational for the teachers. The students will stay actively engaged and the teachers will be able to quickly see who has learned the phonics concepts and who still needs support.

This wouldn't have been possible without generous donors like you. Thank you so much for deciding this project was worth supporting!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fox

  • Pick Up a Good Book (Fifth Grade)

    Funded Mar 6, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting this project! Two new books were published during this school year that were a perfect match for the units taught during Language Arts for fifth graders. There's no way I could have provided enough brand new hardback books for my students. Because of your generosity, my students can enjoy these books along with the nonfiction resources you provided for us.

It means so much to me that you chose to support my project. Teachers everywhere are working hard, and when donors like you support us, we feel appreciated and it makes all the difference!”

  • Pick Up a Good Book (Fourth Grade)

    Funded Mar 3, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting this project! It means so much to me that the students will have resources they want in order to really enrich the learning that's happening in their regular classrooms. They will be so excited to have these new books and dive right into them!!!

Teachers work really hard to do the best they can for their students. Having support from donors like you reminds us that people know we're trying our best! Thank you for choosing to support students, teachers and classrooms. It means so much to us!”

  • A Nugget of Learning!

    Funded Dec 9, 2019

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! The Nugget couch is such an amazing additional to my space. It provides opportunities for students working together in a comfortable setting. It also provides a safe place for students in need of a break to regroup and get ready to continue learning. On top of those important purposes, it can be used as an outlet for creativity and imagination with all the ways it can be set up and utilized by students!

Choosing to support donorschoose projects like mine makes you a superhero in my eyes! It means so much to every teacher, I hope you know that!”

  • To Understand The Fantasy Genre, You've Got To Know Myths

    Funded Feb 17, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting this project! Being able to really dive into mythology and lore will help students understand what fantasy is really all about. It will also help them to see where the ideas behind monsters and heroes came from.

The more students read, the more they will be ready to become writers. By seeing the connection between mythology and fantasy, they will begin to understand that not all stories must be 100% original ideas. If they have a twist on a classic hero or monster, they can turn that into a story. If they have a new idea to explain something like the seasons, they can build on that idea to create a story. By knowing this, writing won't seem as intimidating and they'll be able to find success!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fox

  • Flexible Classroom To Start The Year!

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

Thank you so much for your donations to provide flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating both allows students autonomy in how they sit and also teaches them responsibility because they must learn how to choose a seating that is beneficial to their working.

This project was funded right before school started, which makes teaching routines and procedures so much easier! Students know from day one what choices are available to them and the expectations of these choices.

Teachers do so much to make their classrooms the best possible environments for their students. Thanks to people like you, it becomes easier!”

  • ProjectLit Titles!

    Funded Jul 24, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting this project! By having these books in my classroom ready for students to use, we can get our choice book club started early this year. Students spend so much time reading, but many children never see a character they feel that they can relate to throughout their entire time in school.

Both of these books, El Deafo and Blended, provide characters the students can relate to... the characters look like them, or have the same challenges, or are the same age. It provides a way to get kids even more excited about reading!

    Thank you so much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fox

  • Put Your Seat In A Tractor!

    Funded May 13, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting this project. My students love these seats and by adding more, you're helping me eliminate arguing that

Could arise over them. These chairs are the perfect addition to any classroom: the seats themselves are large, they have wheels so they're mobile, and they are height adjustable for students as well as for different locations in the room.

Providing a child with choice in their seating might seem small, but it does make a big difference to the students! Thank you for helping me make this choice a reality.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fox

  • Checkmate! I Win!

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting my project. The students have been thrilled with the new chess tools. Former students have come back to play chess during their recess just so they could experience chess clocks. Current students are enjoying experimenting with the new strategy games as well as the clocks.

I always hope that students leave my chess electives and continue to play the game. I love that I am now giving them an experience that is closer to the actual chess experience so they will feel successful if they continue on in their chess explorations!

Thank you so much for choosing to fund my project.”

  • Did You Know That Book Is Part Of A Series?

    Funded Oct 26, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting this project! You don't even know how excited I was that it ended up funded. I feel that there is nothing better than a great series, but nothing more disappointing than not being able to get your hands on the next book! Thanks to your generous donations, students will be able to get these books right away!

We've already had students so excited that I had the Track series by Jason Reynolds. These books are a big hit, especially after having 30 fifth graders read the first book in the series, Ghost. Now they're able to move right on to Patina, Sunny and Lu!

Thank you again for your generosity, it is so appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fox
