  • Okay Sis Creative Youth Development Program

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

We were able to put on amazing programming this year for our girls thanks to donations made by you.

Our events including the very popular Vision Board workshop, resume building event, wellness workshop, weekly office hours and more.

These workshops our integral to our program and what keep the girls involved, invested, and developing as the amazing young women that they are. One student shared that she has made new friends thanks to Okay Sis! And the opportunities to bond at the workshops we have provided.”

  • Mid-Year Refresh

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

Thank you for stocking us up during the toughest time of the year. The morale boost pushed us through to the end with the supplies we needed to be successful.

So many students have met their goals for the year and we are now in full end-of-year mode with celebrations and field trips.

The snacks, classroom supplies, and prizes helped motivate our kids through two round of progress monitoring and state testing. They have been working so hard and this momentum will certainly carry us into next year.”

  • Stocking up Special Education office 301

    Funded Dec 8, 2021

When these materials arrived, I was thrilled. We have so many students who come to our office for support and all of the supplies we received have allowed us to support our students in a myriad of ways.

One of my students was so excited to see the fidget toys, and when I told him he could keep it he was so excited! Other students feel grateful to have pens and pencils, folders, and snacks to help them with those basic needs throughout the day.

Some of the decorations have helped us make our office a comfortable and homey house pace for our students and ourselves. These little things make our job so much easier and office 301 thanks you!”

  • Transition Skills and Brew Crew

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Our transition program is in its first year, and getting a program off the ground and sourcing everything you need for it is not always easy. Thank to you and your generosity we have been able to get a head start with supplies that are supporting students in their transition skills and goals.

The Brew Crew in particular has enjoyed and found great use of many of the materials donated and is running an incredible student coffee shop. The long standing members have enjoyed training their new members, and supporting the continuation of this amazing program.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping us receive the supplies we need so quickly!”

  • Books for Business Math

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Financial literacy is one of the most important topics we need to navigate the world. Thanks to you, I have been able to provide materials for my students to support their development in financial literacy.

We spend time engaging with the content in the books, breaking down concepts, group reading, and putting it into practice. Thanks to you and your donation, I have been able to allow our students to keep the materials with them after they graduate to support them in their young adulthood. The students were so excited when they found out they can keep their copies to use going forward.

Thank you for your support, and for making me job easier. Happy New Year!”

  • Extra Monitor for Extra Success!

    Funded Feb 19, 2021

Beginning my first year teaching virtually was quite the challenge. Our school provides us with work computers, but as a Case Manager I am required to write IEPs and manage other documents as well.

Having an extra monitor really made my job SO much easier. I was more efficient, more organized, and less strained. Writing IEPs was so much easier with a monitor, and because of this I was of greater service to my school and my students.

All the support we received last year made the year so much more doable, and I am beyond grateful for your support.”

  • Inspiring Creativity and Organization

    Funded May 7, 2021

As a special education teacher, some of the most important things to lead students to success is organization. The structure that organization provides, allows them to focus, and be truly creative.

The label makers that came in my projects have been SO useful. We have one student who has a habit of forgetting his materials, but now with a checklist on his lanyard he is able to ensure he has all his materials quickly and easily. This allows him to spend less time searching for his things and more time learning and creating.

I have also been able to use these organizational tools to support students in their daily writing journals. They love that they have their own journal with their name on it, and some students have even asked for extras for their personal writing.

This could not have been possible without you, and your generous support to my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Welch

I am a case manager for 10-12th grade students as well as a Reading and Math teacher. My students are unique as are their needs, and being prepared to support them is very important to me. Quick problem solving leads to immediate success for our kids, and alleviates stressors that can cause them to loose focus. Every student is valued, loved, and seen, and having the tools to meet them where they are at reinforces their value in my class. Thank you for your support in making this happen!
