  • Crazy For Colorful 3D Printing

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation of 3D printer filament to our Earth and Space, Environmental, and Forensic Science classrooms! Your support has opened up incredible opportunities for our students to bring their creativity and learning to life. With this filament, they've been able to design and create models, dioramas, and hands-on projects that deepen their understanding of complex scientific concepts.

These resources are more than just supplies; they inspire innovation, critical thinking, and a love for science that will last a lifetime. On behalf of my students, I truly appreciate your kindness and investment in their futures.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sergent

  • Mass Matters!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you for your incredible generosity in providing electronic balances for our science classes! These tools are more than just equipment—they are gateways to hands-on discovery and deeper learning. The ability to conduct precise and accurate measurements will empower our students to perform more advanced experiments, boosting their confidence and engagement in science. Your donation not only enhances our curriculum but also inspires future scientists and innovators. We deeply appreciate your support in shaping brighter futures for our students.”

  • Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Clean Up

    Funded Oct 5, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our high school science classroom! We believe our students learn best by doing. Your donations of paper towels, cleaning supplies, and marbles make a big difference in our ability to conduct hands-on lab activities safely and effectively. The marbles are especially valuable for our scientific method lessons, where students engage actively and learn through experimentation. Your kindness not only equips our classroom but also inspires our students to explore and grow. We're deeply grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sergent

  • Forensic Science Necessities

    Funded May 7, 2024

My students put the supplies purchased with your donations to such great use in creating their mock crime scenes last semester. I am always amazed at their creativity. They write all of the details about their crime, prepare the actors (both students and faculty) in their roles for the investigation, and set up the scenes. The groups switch crime scenes and then go about solving the crimes. They really get into every aspect of crime scene investigation, from sketching and photographing the scenes, collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, analyzing the autopsy reports and lab findings, to making the arrest and fingerprinting the suspect. Without your generous donations, we would not be able to continue this activity. Thank you so very much. I cannot wait for this semester's students to begin the activity!”

  • Science is as COOL as Ice!

    Funded Feb 25, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to fund our new ice machine. We recently were able to use it to do a lab activity that illustrates how the deep ocean currents work. The students were able to see that cold water is more dense than hot water. They could then relate this to climate change and how the warming of the oceans could further affect climate by altering ocean current patterns.

Having the ice machine in our classroom is convenient and time-saving for us. This means that my teaching is more efficient and more learning can take place. We appreciate your generosity and support of our classroom!”

  • Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Clean Up!

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

I would like to thank you all for donating to my class. My students will appreciate happy not having to use the brown paper towels from the student restrooms to clean up after their labs. I joke with them about the school paper towels being designed to repel water instead of absorb it! No more wet sleeves and notebooks from tables that are not dried off! I truly appreciate your generosity. Things like paper towels and tissues may seem like small things, but having them at our disposal makes a big difference in our classroom experiences. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sergent

  • Support Our 3D Science Projects

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

Many students in our science department will benefit from this 3D printer. Some are taking Aerospace Engineering courses where they are designing new pilot seats. Some Forensic Science students are creating scale model crime scenes and processing the scenes as crime scene investigators. No matter what the students are learning, using this technology will be a new and exciting experience for them. It will allow them to mix science with art and design. In the past we have used an older 3D printer but we are excited to use this new resin printer and I cannot wait to see the things my students will create! They never cease to amaze me. Thank you again for supporting our class!”

    With gratitude,

  • Science Students in Comfy Seats

    Funded May 12, 2023

Thank you so much for donating comfortable seating for my students. The alternative seats truly changes the learning environment in such a positive way.

Comfortable seating leads to increased focus and attention in class. When comfortable, students enjoy coming to class and feel positive about the learning process. Alternative seating promotes collaboration and interaction among students. When students are comfortable, they feel more inclined to participate in discussions, group activities, and class debates.

Comfortable seating in classrooms goes beyond physical comfort. It influences students' emotional well-being, attentiveness, and overall attitude towards learning. By creating a comfortable and supportive learning space, I can foster an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Thank you again for supporting our learning space. I could never have a 21st Century classroom without support such as yours.”

  • Science Students Out of Their Desks!

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

My students were visibly excited to learn that our new flexible seating had arrived. They all wanted to go down to the office to bring the boxes to our classroom. They were so excited that they volunteered to put the seating together so they could use it that very class period! They all love it so much that I have to rotate seats every few days so they each get a turn to sit in the alternative seats. My forensic science students enjoy using the alternative seating as their "police department" while they are solving their crimes. It has been the most wonderful addition to my classroom. Thank you so much for making it possible!”
