  • All Music Has a Home

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

The impact of this project on our students has been truly transformative. With the new resources, we have been able to create a more efficient and enjoyable learning environment. The clear bins have allowed us to organize our sheet music, lyrics, and other resources in a way that is both accessible and visually appealing. This has not only saved us time but also reduced the stress of searching for materials during class.

One specific moment that stands out is when we organized a mini-concert where students could choose their favorite pieces to perform. The ease of accessing the sheet music and lyrics made the preparation process smooth and enjoyable. The students were excited to see their favorite pieces neatly organized and readily available. Their faces lit up with joy and enthusiasm as they flipped through the organized bins, eager to start practicing.

The students' reaction when they first saw the materials was priceless. They were thrilled to see their classroom transformed into a more organized and inviting space. Many of them expressed their appreciation for the new system, saying it made them feel more motivated and focused. The sense of pride and ownership they took in maintaining the organization was evident.

Our donors have truly made a difference by contributing to this project. They have given us the tools to create a more structured and inspiring learning environment. As we move forward, our next steps include expanding our repertoire and exploring more complex musical pieces. We are also planning a collaborative project where students will compose their own music, using the organized resources to bring their creative ideas to life.

Thank you for your generous support. Your contribution has not only improved our classroom organization but also empowered our students to reach new heights in their musical journey. We are excited to see where this newfound organization and creativity will take us next.”

  • Equal Opportunity

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

In the vibrant world of music education, every student deserves an equal opportunity to explore their musical talents and passions. However, the reality is that not all students have access to the same resources, which can create disparities in their learning experiences. It is crucial to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, have an even playing field in the music classroom.

These items collectively support students in the music classroom by providing essential tools and resources for effective learning. Piano labels for the notes help beginners quickly learn and memorize musical notes, while wireless chargers ensure that electronic devices used for music production or learning apps remain charged and functional. A Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificate allows teachers to purchase valuable educational resources, enhancing the learning experience. Pencils are crucial for note-taking and completing assignments, ensuring students can fully participate in classroom activities. Finally, snacks help keep students energized and focused, especially during long classes.

Together, these items create a more engaging and supportive learning environment, aiding students in their musical education journey.

The students' reactions were priceless. When they first saw the piano labels, their eyes lit up with excitement. One student exclaimed, "Now I can finally remember where all the notes are!" The wireless chargers were met with cheers as students realized they could keep their devices powered throughout the day. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificate sparked curiosity and anticipation as students wondered what new resources their teacher would bring into the classroom. The pencils and snacks were simple yet essential items that made the students feel prepared and cared for.

The next steps for our students involve integrating these new resources into our current projects. We are working on a composition project where students will use the piano labels to compose their own pieces of music. The wireless chargers will ensure that students can use music production apps on their devices without any interruptions. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificate will allow us to purchase additional sheet music and educational materials that will enhance our lessons. Pencils will be used to jot down ideas and notes as students work on their compositions. Finally, snacks will keep the students energized and focused during our creative sessions.”

  • Broadway Jr.

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

On behalf of the entire music classroom, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support of the Broadway Jr. Project. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to acquire essential musical equipment, including microphones and speakers, which have transformed our learning environment and enriched our students' educational experience.

The impact of this technology on our students has been profound. Many of our donors are familiar with using technology at home, but may not realize how it can revolutionize learning in a school setting. The new microphones and speakers have allowed our students to engage in a more immersive and interactive learning experience. They can now hear and produce music with greater clarity, which has significantly enhanced their understanding of musical concepts and improved their performance skills.

The most exciting aspect of this new equipment for our students is the ability to perform and record their music. This hands-on experience not only boosts their confidence but also provides them with valuable feedback that helps them refine their talents. The students are thrilled to see their progress and share their performances with their peers and families.

Several students have shown a particular affinity for this new technology. For instance, Emily, who was initially shy about singing in front of others, has blossomed into a confident performer, thanks to the supportive environment created by the new equipment. Similarly, Jacob, who has always been passionate about sound engineering, has taken on the role of class sound technician, learning the intricacies of sound mixing and production.

Your support has not only provided our students with the tools they need to succeed but has also ignited a passion for music that will last a lifetime. Thank you for believing in the power of music education and for helping us create a vibrant and dynamic learning space.”

  • Ensuring Menstrual Health and Educational Equity

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

    Dear Generous Donors,

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support of our middle school puberty project. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to provide our students with essential menstrual products, ensuring they can focus on their school work with comfort and confidence.

Your donations have made a significant impact on our students' lives. With access to these necessary resources, our students no longer have to worry about the challenges and distractions that come with managing their periods at school. This has allowed them to fully engage in their studies and participate more actively in classroom activities.

One of the most memorable moments was when we first distributed the menstrual products to our students. Their reactions were priceless—a mix of relief, gratitude, and empowerment. Many of them expressed how this support has made a world of difference in their daily lives, allowing them to feel more prepared and less anxious about their periods.

One specific project that stands out is our recent puberty education workshop, where we combined the distribution of menstrual products with important lessons on puberty and personal hygiene. The students were not only grateful for the products but also appreciated the knowledge and support they received. This workshop helped create a more open and supportive environment, where students felt comfortable discussing their experiences and asking questions.

The impact of your support extends beyond the classroom. Our students are now more focused, confident, and ready to learn. They are better equipped to handle the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty, which has positively affected their overall well-being and academic performance.

As we move forward, our next steps include continuing to provide menstrual products and expanding our puberty education program. We are committed to ensuring that all our students have the resources and knowledge they need to navigate this important stage of their lives with confidence and dignity.

Thank you once again for your generosity and belief in the well-being of our students. Your support has made a world of difference, and we are truly grateful for your partnership in nurturing the health and potential of our students.

    With sincere appreciation,”

  • When Puberty Strikes

    Funded Jan 10, 2023

THANK YOU! Your generosity and kindness allowed myself and my team teacher to make and distribute period kits to our female-bodied students during our family life lesson. Our students were so excited and appreciative of their gifts. By providing them with their kits, we were able to lessen the fear associated with menstruation during adolescence by helping them feel more prepared and secure as they head off to middle school. The shame and stigma that is often associated with periods is something my team teacher and I worked hard at combating this year, and you too, helped us on this mission.

    You are appreciated!”

  • A New Laptop for IEPs!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

The Surface Pro and Pen have allowed me to guide instruction in real time, allowing me to take pictures and project them in real time on the Smartboard. The pen allows me to make corrections immediately on students exemplars. The Surface Pro has also been utilized to create lessons and differentiate them.

The new technology has allowed me to work on the go and correct student work wherever I am, as well as write IEP's and meet with parents virtually. Furthermore, the Surface Pro has allowed me to use new programs to create engaging lessons”

  • Restocking The Music Rewards Closet

    Funded Feb 3, 2022

Thank you for your donations to The Music Store. This projects helped create an award system for my students to cash in their rewards for awesome prizes. Through your donations my musicians were able to have different outlets to diversify their learning experiences, by using music manipulatives and small instruments as prizes. By creating a reward system for my students this helped create a positive learning environment, targeted different approaches to music, helped with different learning styles, and provided different ways to reward students for hard work and effort. My Middle School students are incredibly thrilled to be back in the building with other students again. Throughout the pandemic we were able to put on a small virtual performance. Although the entire process was long and hard, my students persevered through every obstacle and challenge that was thrown their way. Now that they are fully in person a lot of my students voiced that they would love to learn a physical instrument on top of putting on a vocal performance. The hand held boards will be used for my 12-1 classes to gain more dexterity and fine motor skills in the classroom and in case my students have to learn from home.
