• A Library Space for Learning!

  Thank you so much for providing my students with a cozy reading area. They are living have a rug to sit at in the meeting area. It makes my heart extremely happy to see them sitting cozy on the rug with a good book or working with a buddy on a partner task. This special space makes our classroom feel more like a home.

  As an educator my goal is to instill a love of literacy for my children and with a special place to liven up our classroom my students have a safe place.

• Even The Walls Support Our Learners!

  Thank you so much for providing my students with supportive posters to support my teaching. With these posters the students will be able to reference important skills for reading, writing and math, in addition to references to build and support growth mindset.

  My students are language learners and visuals are essential to support as a reference point as well as literacy support on the classroom walls help support their reading development.

• Robust Robots for My Radical Learners!

  Thank you so much for bringing this project i into fruition. I am so excited to be able to start a robotics team and incorporate robotics in my class.

  We will be using the robots to build collaboration skills, incorporation in mathematics as well as coding. The students are so ecstatic and are eager to put them to use.

  In today's curriculum 21st century learning is taking center stage and with these robots I will be able to incorporate robots into our learning by integrating it into our units of study. We are so excited!”

• Wizarding World Magical Themed Learning Space

  Thank you so much for bringing this project to life and transforming our classroom into a magical world of learning. My students were amazed at their learning space and take great pride to calling it to their second home.

  Having an inviting and exciting learning space motivates to children to come to school. Attendance is a major challenge in schools but providing a rich learning space that engages and invited the students. Although we have only completed one week of school the students have such a strong motivation to learn. They want their work to be displayed on the walls to add to the magic of our room. • Making Our Voices Heard Using Performing Arts

  Thank you so much for bringing this project to life. My second graders had the best experience using the podcast machine to share their stories and messages with their family and school community.

  We used this tool to create a fairytale radio stations. We incorporated technology, reading and writing to create interviews, stories and more. It was very fun and amazing to see what the students can do with their imagination and the opportunity to share their learning in their own.

• Fairytales and STEM! That's Happily Ever After

  When my students saw the Fairytale kits come out of the box they were so excited. They have been asking if we can use the kits every STEM Thursday. I tried to hold off to their fairytale unit but how could I say no when they are asking for an opportunity to learn?

  My students and I are so appreciative of the opportunity to align STEM into Literacy. Although the students see it more as a game - I see it as an opportunity to design, use problem solving and critical thinking. (Ugh.. Why does Ms. Ramirez has to be so boring)

  I couldn't be any more happy with this incorporation to my classroom. It definitely is another outlet of learning that provides fun and doesn't waste learning time.

• A Classroom Fit for a Learner

  Thank you so much for brining this project to life. Our classroom is such an inviting and nurturing environment with supportive reference posters to remind students skills we learned as well as amazing supplies to support student learning.

  The students especially love the laminator. The love that their work is preserved and they can share their work with others.

  A classroom is the students' home away from home for 5 hours of their day and it is beneficial that this place is a welcoming and inviting place. I am so grateful that my students have materials to make them feel at home and know every time they look around their room their is opportunity to learn.

• New Year of More Math Please!

  Last May students across New York City took the ELA and Math State Test. Although COVID's pandemic greatly affected the outcome, the proficiency in Mathematics was extremely low! This project could not have come to life at a better time.

  Although I do not teach testing grades I teach 2nd grade. During this year of learning, it is essential for students to leave second grade with a mastery of basic skills that are the foundation of deeper and more complicated math skills.

  With these IXL Math text workbooks my students have been able to have extra support as a supplement to our math curriculum helping them achieve mastery. Although we are currently on Unit 3 my students are able to solve problems in different ways and speak on their math and their processes.

• Laptop for STEM Learning

  Funded Sep 29, 2022

  Thank you so much for providing my classroom with a laptop to support technological learning. The students were so excited to see the new laptop as well as excited to see all the tools we were able to install that we will be using over the course of this school year.

  Currently the students have been creating little videos to share their learning and they are so excited to see these little videos turn into a compilation series. We have only had the computer for about a week now and every child has gotten a chance to record the story they wrote and add affects to share with the school family.

  I cannot wait to see what other creations we make over the course of the school year. Your kindness, generosity and love for learning is much appreciated.”
