My group of upcoming first graders for the 2013-14 school year will consist of 15 enthusiastic students! These students are just a part of our rural school in Minnesota that was originally constructed in the early 1900s. Currently, our small school consists of under 200 students in grades K-12. We are very fortunate, however, to live in such a wonderful community that is very supportive of our school, and for having so many parents that are so actively involved in their child's education. My soon-to-be First graders are a very active bunch with a variety of learning styles, skills, and personalities. I'm excited to learn more about them and their interest in the upcoming year. I am also very eager to help foster their love for learning and to watch as they grow, progress, and mature throughout the year. The love for learning that I am able to see through their eyes is always simply amazing!
