  • 4th Grade Tie Dye Party

    Funded May 13, 2024

As we start a new school year, I want to reflect and thank you all for making the end of the school year so much fun with our amazing tie-dye party! Students loved creating different designs with rubber bands and colors to create unique t-shirts that they wore for multiple end-of-the-year activities.

On the first day of school, I even saw a former 4th grader proudly wearing their tie-dye t-shirt. Thank you so much for helping make this activity possible. It created memories and mementos that will be cherished for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

  • Student Portfolios

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

This is my first year doing student portfolios and so far we are off to a great start! I love having the curved shelf that fits perfectly in the corner and holds all of our binders. Students love seeing their names on the spines of binders on the shelves and it does not take up too much classroom space which is very helpful.

So far we have placed multiple reflections, goal-setting pages, our first essay, and much more into our student portfolio binders. I am excited to pull these out for conferences that are coming up soon. It will be great to showcase students' work and their progress.”

  • Clean Up, Clean Up

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Having a clean classroom is extremely important to create a safe and healthy environment for students to learn. We have already put a dent in our supplies of Lysol wipes and paper towels cleaning our desks and spills. Being able to wipe down our desks regularly helps us stay healthy even during cold and flu season so that we have fewer absences and more time for learning and fun at school. The supply bins and Ziploc baggies have been game-changing in our organization system. Having supply bins students are not losing crayons and markers in their desks and if their cardboard crayon box breaks we have plastic bags ready to go. This has been my best year for organization and much of that is thanks to the supply bins! Thank you for helping us stay clean and organized!”

  • Classroom Libraries Inspire Readers

    Funded Aug 28, 2023

Having a library full of books makes me so excited and happy for my students! They love to see all of the options and explore books that interest them. The most popular so far has definitely been the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series! Every single one of those books was borrowed on the first day! Many of my former students (now 5th graders) were so excited that I listened to their book suggestions for the library! Many of them came back and borrowed some of them to read! Thank you for helping foster a love of reading!”

  • Safety Goggles for Sensational Science Projects

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for the supplies for our science passion projects. Students were excited to pick projects that allowed them to explore a science topic they were passionate about. Our projects ranged from volcanoes to the muscles used in gymnastics, to how clouds are formed. All of our projects included some type of presentation piece. Some students chose to create Google Slides or posters, but many students had another aspect of their project. For many of our students interested in volcanoes, there were different volcanoes made with clay or paper mache, or even cups. Students were extremely creative and were excited to use the clay, glue, and paint as well as other science materials. Thank you for helping make their projects a reality while also keeping our eyes protected with safety goggles.”

  • 4th Grade Tie Dye Party

    Funded May 9, 2023

We had so much at our fourth grade tie-dye party. For many students, this was their first time tie dying and they really enjoyed it. The day before we had taught the students different ways they could use rubber bands to create different patterns. I loved how students all chose different methods. Some students even created their own!

On the day of each class had a chance to go through the tie-dye station. It was fun seeing the different techniques used and the colors preferred. The one thing we learned was that we will need even more dye if we are going to do this in the future.

The shirts all came out amazing! The whole fourth grade wore them for field day. Every shirt was unique just like each student.

Thank you for making this fun experience possible!”

  • Flexible Thinking, Flexible Seating

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Our fourth grade community loves to move! We are full of energy and great ideas. Students love to sit on the floor and work in partners or small groups. The different tools you helped provide for our classroom make this so much easier. Students clamber for the lap desks, stools, and floor seats when they are given the option to choose their workspace.

Our class also loves utilizing whiteboards and the whiteboard clipboards and erasers were a big upgrade for us. We use these mostly in math and help us show our work and solve problems.

The chair bands and stress balls have also helped us to keep ourselves focused in our seats while allowing physical stimulation to keep our body moving while our brain is focused.

Finally, our classroom is fully stocked on scissors!! We use scissors a lot and our class is also very crafty so they love having access to "big" scissors. They are great for helping us with projects and more.

Thank you again for supporting our classroom community to be the best they can be!”

  • Cool Clean Celebrations

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom. At all times maintaining a clean classroom is essential. Now more than ever, though, with Covid, RSV, and everything else, we must be extra careful to keep ourselves healthy. Regularly wiping down surfaces is one way we do this. The disinfectant wipes help make sure that our desks, door handles, and all other surfaces are clean.

The "EL Excellence Every Day" has helped me learn new strategies to support my English Language Learners. These strategies although targeted at ELL support all my students to reach success.

And of course, when students are reaching success we need to celebrate. Thanks to you we were able to get a confetti high-five blaster. This is such a fun way to celebrate reaching our goals.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity!”

  • Frax: Mission Understand Fractions

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your support! Instead of Frax, we got Reflex a program that focuses on basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. This program by the same company is game-based and a ton of fun! It also provides me with great data and students with a fun way to practice and improve their basic facts.

Students complete a picture puzzle using math facts to reveal the puzzle pieces. Then they get to play games to work to earn their greenlight. Activities help them earn tokens that they can use in the store. Students can track their growth by watching the growth of the tree.

Thank you so much for providing this fantastic program for our class!”

  • Fraction Fun and Prizes Palooza

    Funded May 3, 2022

Fractions are a challenging concept for students and hands-on manipulatives make a big difference! The magnetic fraction tiles are able to stick to individual whiteboards which help keep them together when we are building different fractions. The bags are also very helpful for organization. We greatly appreciate this tool and I know students for years to come will use this tool to support them learn about fractions.

Our prizes were a hit! The animal plushies were the favorite. Students put them on their backpacks as keychains and were so excited to earn them. The prize box continues to be an important part of our classroom management system and I appreciate the donations to reward students with.”
