Scholar Authors in the Classroom
Funded Nov 22, 2023By supporting our project for our classroom, students are extremely excited to collaborate with the kindergarten class and create project. I just launched the project a couple weeks ago and things seem to be going well. With the iPad you helped us get, students are able to start doing some coding with partners as well as in small groups! This has been a total success. Now, I am trying to integrate more technology and coding into my daily lessons/curriculum.
Again, this has benefited my students in an enormous way. Students that had never had access to some of the apps (coding and lightroom) via Apple, now have found a new way to learn and express their learning!”

Using Technology In Small Groups
Funded Jul 15, 2020Thank you for supporting my class during this time! I am excited to use the materials and deliver quality reading instruction. I know my students will enjoy hearing one another read as well as having meaningful discussions about what they read. Now, we will have the ability to have more specialized instruction in small groups and have a better understanding of how I can help each student individually. Again, I thank you for your support.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 4 other donors.Technology in Our Classroom!
Funded Oct 15, 2019This has been a tremendous help to our classroom! I love seeing the joy on my students' faces when they are totally engaged in a math activity on the iPads. Currently, I have adopted a program/app called Seesaw. I am using this app for students to complete assignments and quizzes, shared reading, small group choral reading, class projects and bridging the gap between home and school. One of the most ways that the app has been useful is I have seen an increase in parent interest in their childs' work. Parents are able so see exactly what their child is doing in class and continue the education conversation at home.
The new project my students and I are excited about is for our schools' Heritage Night. Heritage Night is when not only the school but the community as well comes together to celebrate the diverstiy of cultures in our school. Each class is responsible of creating something that exhibits their respecitive heritage. My plan for the class is to use the iPads so that every student can do a video presentation on a green screen that will then be downloaded to the iPads. I tried to do this last year but our technology resources were scarce. Thankfully with your help, we are able to do fun and interesting projects like this one in the future!”

Mr. Brown
