With our new Science curriculum, we have a focus on literacy in informational texts. Some of these texts are hard to grasp and with multiple learning levels in a classroom, need small group work for the students to understand them well. Having a teacher table where I can pull a small group of students to read through a text with me will make a significant impact on the student's ability to understand and apply the information found within. With this I hope to help our English Language Arts teacher in the informational texts curriculum as well as the argumentative writing. Having the furniture included in this project will significantly impact my student's learning by giving them a better way to meet with their teacher, a good way to see new and interesting books as well as flexible seating to read those books.
