    Funded Dec 28, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project. It's donors like you that make Teachers like myself and others want to do more to assist the students. My students are sure to have a great start for the new year with some good ole brain snacks. Thanks again..”

  • Fresh Start

    Funded Aug 30, 2024

I am so very please to announce that my students love, love, love the items in their Fresh Start pack. I had so much fun putting together and distributing the packs. The items in this pack reached 50 students. The students had expressed that they needed those kinds of items because after cheer, dance or football practice they would have to wait until they got home to freshen up. With the items that they were given, they could freshen up in the car or in the washroom after each practice or game. The students were surprised because they said that no one ever thinks about things like that. They were very appreciative.”

  • Mental Health Matters

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

This Social-Emotional journal for teens is a great resource. The teens actually learned about a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. It helped me as well as my students, in that the author featured real life instances that we could relate too. The students had to actually read each chapter and answer the reflection and action questions as it pertained to them. The students had to mentally switch roles with the author to see how the author felt during her times of hardships. After answering the questions, the students were asked to share out their feelings on the scenarios in the chapters. The journal has helped me to understand some of the situations that my students are going through. I have found that the group discussions have been really great for my students. I just want to Thank you kindly for helping to fund my project.”

  • Enhanced Listening

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project. It is a great success with my students. Now, they can listen at the digital books online, listen to music (quietly) as they complete assignments in class. When I say that the headsets are the truth, they are. Each student has been a pair and when they are class, they are allowed to use them while using their computers or the computers in the classroom. Some of the students have expressed to me that they use their headsets at home to complete their work, whether it's doing chores or homework. The students are excited because they don't have to worry about being in class, sitting beside a classmate and being told to turn down their computers. Thanks again Donors.”

  • Student of the Month

    Funded May 10, 2023

This item was a big surprise for my students. At the end of the year, I was able to award those students who were chosen as Students of the Month. I have had some great students that showed exemplary work skills, leadership skills and knowledge of the classroom environment. Although I adore all of my students, these are the ones chosen by their peers as well as myself

students have communicated to me the convenience of the headset. They can put it on and sleep with it, exercise with it and carry it wherever they go. Thanks again for your help.”

  • Healthy Snacks

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

The items that were ordered for this project has made such an impact on my students. When they come to school hungry, I am able to give them a snack to help boost their energy. It doesn't take much, just something for them to snack on while they are working or on break. This is the kind of impact that I live for, and that's putting a smile on the scholars faces. When they students found out that I had done a project to get them snacks, they were overjoyed. But when the materials started in, that was the biggest joy. My students are now doing a lesson on the Importance of feeding your body.”

  • Personal Hygiene

    Funded Nov 21, 2022

The resources for this project was a true success. My students were given the products in a beautiful Christmas bag and was named, Care Package. I didn't want them to be embarrassed by me giving them the items, so I had a class on self care. During this time, I talked about how to care for yourself in and away from home, and told them that these were things that they needed to keep handy at all times. I told them that the items were all pocket-sized so they wouldn't have worry about their backpacks or purses being bulky. This was very much needed.”

  • Essentials for Class

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

This project has brought about so many good things for my students. They seem to enjoy the colorful essentials that they were given for class. The pencil pouches has given them a way to keep up with their writing utensils. They love the ink pens, high lighters and erasers. I am seeing that they are keeping up with their essentials very well. I am less bothered with them having to borrow my writing utensils and not returning them. I am so glad that my students are able to be held accountable for things that I know they should have.”

  • Environmental Pollution: Fresh Water

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for funding this project. It has been great during this time while dealing with the crisis in our city. The Scholars are able to enjoy small, single bottles of water. They are able to have water, along with a snack while they are working doing class assignments. Being able to have water accessible has made a difference. They were glad to have water but to have the small bottles was awesome. There was less water waste with the small bottles versus the sixteen ounce bottles. This small donation made such a great impact!!!”

This project helps the students to understand that I care about them and their needs. Students come to school hungry and have not had breakfast, so these snacks will help to stimulate their minds and know that someone cares about them. When the students are hungry, they have less energy for work. I have found that healthy snacks are the way to a student's heart. Sometimes, breakfast or lunch is the only thing that helps students to get by during the day, but not's not enough. An afternoon snack is great!!!
