My students are all public school students in the Mayfair section of northeast Philadelphia. The vast majority of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch and come to school every day to learn and increase their potential for future success. My kids have a variety of intellectual, emotional and learning disabilities, but come to school to overcome their challenges and become successful and productive citizens. We offer a variety of vocational tracts in addition to the traditional educational path. These kids want to break the cycle of poverty and violence that they experience and they want to learn. With our help and support, they are doing it every day. I want to provide a safe and comfortable environment where my kids feel as though they can learn without judgment as to their specific abilities or disabilities. They are all learners and all have significant potential. Help me create my safe space.
