• Pressure Washer for Kindness in Plants

  My students and I are so grateful to have received the power washer. My students are looking forward to taking the power washer out in our Peace Garden in the spring. We waant to give the sculptures and benches a was and brighten up our garden.

  Thanks to donors like you we will be able to do to do this! There are also moss deposits to clean off in the Canfield center and it is a great piece of equipment to have for cleanup. WIthout donors like you we would be stuck doing it a much less efficient way. Thank you!”

• Kindness in Plants - Peace Garden Upgrade

  My students and I are incredibly grateful for the hedge clippers, power cord, snacks and other stuff. We have been able to use the hedge clippers in our fall cleanup and will continue to use it and the power cord. After cleanups the students are hungry and thirsty so the snacks and water are helpful.

  My students are so happy to have support from the community in keeping the Peace Garden and our Canfield Center neat and clean. They are looking forward to the spring and making the space even more welcoming. Thank you for making this possible.”

• Kindness in Plants Club: Park Cleanups

  My Kindness in Plants students and I are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. We have been able to do local school ground cleanups in our Peace Garden and Canfield Center. We have done four cleanups since getting funding. One of those with a special ed group. Our plans in the spring are to branch out to local parks in our community.

  The grabbers and gloves help us pick up garbage. They work well and allow us to move more quickly. We have plenty of bags for both the recycling and garbage. The gloves help us both with the garbage and pruning work.

• Cricut for AP Physics Part 2

  We are so excited to have the heat press and additional supplies to make our AP Physics Mechanics C t-shirts. We have had a great time designing the t-shirts so far. We will be voting on which one of the student designs will be the one we print.

• Cricut for AP Physics Part 1

  Funded Aug 28, 2023

  My students and I are so grateful for the Cricut and T-shirt making supplies. This is my second year teaching AP Physics C: Mechanics and we will create t-shirts with the Cricut. We will also use the Cricut to make specialized structures and parts. Right now we are learning how to create the fonts and designs. My students are helping me create one of four t-shirts that we will vote on.

  Thank you for making this project a reality. Already my physics team has had a blast designing shirts. They will really have fun using the Cricut to make the final design. Without you we would not be able to participate in this team building activity!”

• TPT Gift Cards for Physics

  Thank you for contributing to our TPT Gift Cards for Physics project. Thanks to your kindness and generosity we have done a number of labs and classroom activities.

  The lab in the pictures is about relative velocity and uses tennis balls or stress balls being thrown under different circumstances. This allows students to experience and observe relative velocity in multiple ways. They can observe it visually and kinesthetically. When more areas of the brain are activated the more likely a student is to remember the concept. We are also using it to get extra elevator problems.”

• Physics Care Closet Part 4

  The folders you helped supply have been very helpful. We use them for labs. Some students who happen to need one for classes can take one.

  The big calendar and teacher planner help keep us all organized. The larger calendar allows all my students to see the schedule for next few weeks. With a paper calendar and just my deadlines it makes it easier for students.

• Physics Care Closet Part 3

  We cannot thank you enough for our basic supplies such as notebooks, a little chest of drawers, labels and more. Thanks to your kindness and generosity we have mini drawers to hold band-aids, erasers and paperclips and other items students need regularly.

  The labels alllow us to know what is in our many drawers and cabinets. The tissues get used all year long. Between allergies and colds we can never have enough tissues. The notebooks are for students to take notes in. This project will help us be more organized and together for the start of the year.”

• Binary Code Messages

  We are in the midst of making the binary code messages for parents with the fuse beads. The students are loving it. It gives us a break from the computer screen and I am amazed by how thrilled the students are to make binary messages and sort beads.

• Physics Care Closet Part 2

  My students and I are very grateful for the folders, tissues, erasers, and post its. We are thankful for your kindness and generoisty! We thank Kleenex for matching your generosity to make this project a reality.

  In physics erasers are essential. Every last one of us needs a good one to clear our mistakes. The folders will be used for lab notebooks. I appreciate having one color for each class. Also, if a student needs one for my class or another they can keep themselves organized and neat. There are never enough tissues, so extras are always helpful. Post its help us share ideas in groups easily. The colors let us know which group contributed what. Thank you!”
