  • Being Active in the New Year

    Being Active in the New Year is so important, and we appreciate you helping us do this! My students are so excited to have playground and soccer balls to use in the New Year. They have two favorite games, handball and soccer, It seems like we never have enough equipment for either, so having the resources from this project is perfect! Mindy Kim and the Lunar New Year Parade is a great book for my students to read. It gives them a chance to see how another family celebrates Lunar New Year, and it allows them to compare it to how they celebrate Thank you for supporting my students. It means a lot to us!”

  • Books for Inchy Inspire Readers (3)

    Thank you so much for supporting Books for Inchy Inspire Readers! Our students can earn an Inchy book by demonstrating the 3 Rs being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible. They also get a book for their birthday, turning in their reading calendars, and for being student of the week.

    Our books arrived last week, and our students are overjoyed with the selection. This week we have not only been celebrating January and summer birthdays, we have been rewarding those who turned in their reading calendars. Our librarian can't fill Inchy fast enough with Wings of Fire and Mindy Kim. Thank you for hellion gas provide such a great selection of books that get our students excited about reading.

    Thank you so much for helping my students Be Active! They are so excited to have a variety of playground balls and soccer balls to use. Soccer is defiantly a favorite game, and my students cheered when they saw them unpacked. Our students love to be active, but when you don't have the right equipment it is hard. I appreciate you supporting our students and giving us equipment for when we are outside. We are looking forward to the rest of our school year! I hope you have a Happy New Year and that 2025 bring your much joy!”

  • Bouncing Into the New Year (2)

    Dodge left! Dodge right! Duck! These are the words that you can hear as our students play dodgeball! This is such a fun game and our students love playing it. They are really looking forward to having a dodgeball tournament in the spring and are already talking about who they think will be on teams and which team will be tie winer. The book Bringing In the New Year is a great way to bring students together. After reading it, students who celebrate Lunar New Year were able to share the traditions of their family.     I am so happy to have my students Bouncing Into The New Year! Having playground balls readily accessible makes a huge difference. Our students need to be active when they are outside, and having the right equipment helps them want to be active. They will use the balls for handball, catch, kickball, and so much more! The book Lunar New Year (Celebrate the World), gives students a chance to talk about this family traditions. It is fun to see students connect through their family traditions.     Books for Inchy Inspire Readers (4) is an amazing project! I love that we have such wonderful books to ad to Inchy that will encourage our students to become life long readers. Our students love to talk about books and share what they like and why. Having Harry Potter and Jason Reynold's Track Series in Inchy will get our students excited. I'm also excited about having I Love Lunar New Year. This book has many students talking about what their own family traditions are. This helps to strengthen the home school connection and allows students to feel seen in the books we have. Thank you for making that possible.”

    Books for Inchy Inspire Readers is such a great project for our school! Our students love when they have the opportunity to pick out a book of her own. Our students can earn an Inchy book by demonstrating the 3 R's being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible.

    Having the graphic novel set, Definitely Nat:, will be great for our older readers. They love to read graphic novels, and we love when they are reading! While I Love Lunar New Year may seem like it is perfect for our younger readers, however, all of our students who celebrate Lunar New Year are excited to see this title Inchy.

They work hard to collaborate so they can share the limited technology and art materials that we have. My students need more opportunities to create, as they are currently limited by both a lack of supplies and time. Anytime I can incorporate art, my students are engaged, motivated to learn, and inspired to create.

About my class
