Alphabet Carpet to Make Learning Fun in Preschool!
Funded Aug 17, 2021I am very thankful for your generosity. We are using our new carpet every day during morning meetings and centers. The design makes it perfect for the students to have enough space for comfort and to be able to listen and see me (the teacher) without a problem.
The students were so excited to see the new carpet, they loved the blue tone and how big it is. I heard so many positive comments from them and they were eager to know to what letter they will be assigned to be their own personal space.
The carpet will provide countless hours of learning with entertaining hands-on activities and a safe space.”

Funded Apr 12, 2021Thank you for your generous donations, our portable desk has become an important asset to our classroom. For example, we can move the computer and camera to work within the learning centers and complement the learning process. They do not only have the opportunity to experiment with science but to record and see the results through the computer that can be safely transported to the students.
Of course, our students appreciate the most obvious advantage offered that is the great mobility of the portable computer. It is very helpful when we have to move through tables in the classroom, we do not have to be packing and unpacking cables and accessories, all can be move at the same time.
Moving between standing and sitting by having a rolling workstation is ideal for a healthy balance not only for the student but for the teachers.”

Funded Jun 2, 2021First of all, thank you for your generous donations. My class is so happy to have a rolling cart that makes our Tv/Display portable around our classroom. The students are no longer limited to only one place in the classroom to be able to enjoy and interact with this amazing tool. As we all know not all students learn the same way. Some students are strong visual learners and having the opportunity to interact more often within the same classroom with our Tv/Display makes their days more enjoyable and they have the chance to use the display in any center without a problem. We may not have an interactive board but being equipped with this portable cart brought our classroom the latest technology without breaking our budget.
We are really happy with our portable Tv/Display, and we are giving it daily use throughout out the day.”

Funded Feb 10, 2021Thank you very much for your generous gift. Our school district did not have enough budget to provide preschool classes with smart boards. Covid took all of us by surprise. As caring teachers, we needed to find ways to be able to deliver quality instruction to virtual and in person students. In addition to this project, my classroom received the wonderful gift of a multi-touch frame that together with the smart tv; made it possible to make it interactive.
The students love the big screen because they are able to see their virtual classmates and they can interact without problems for the reason that the tv has realizable sound and picture. This tv is allowing them to focus for longer periods of time because of the interactive display that they have access now.
It is very sweet to see my students react when they can touch the screen and something new appears or a new activity pop up. This new technology catch their attention and make them so excited to be in class.”

Technology for Preschool
Funded Dec 8, 2020The multi-touch infrared frame was a blessing to receive. The frame placed over the tv screen add multi-touch functionality and turn it into an interactive display. It is like having a smart board!
This multi-touch frame helped me to improve classroom management. Now, I am able to see both sets of students: in person and virtual, and I am able to redirect them when necessary.
I am able to face forward my students that are in the class and also the ones at home can see me move in front of the screen instead of just seeing my face while teaching from a small desk with the computer.
The students are very excited because they can see their virtual classmates. They already learned their names and they can interact during class time when necessary. The students love the multi-touch option because they can practice, play and learn different skills through online apps.
As you may know preschooler have short attention spans and with your generous donation I can see that they are responding better to interactive technology during class.
Thank you again, for your generous donation and for giving my students an opportunity to continue learning during hybrid instruction.”

Funded Sep 17, 2020Thank you very much for your generosity, you made my day. Coming back from summer break and finding these brand new mats waiting for the kids at school made me very happy. Half of our sleeping mats were all worn out and with the current health situation, it was very important for our students to sleep in new, clean, and safe mats that will be able to be sanitized properly daily.
When our students saw that we were unpacking the new mats, they were excited and ready to test them. As you probably know, offering a safe choice for a quiet and relaxing time will offer the students the opportunity to continue learning after they recharge their energy during the day.
Thank you again for your help,”

Funded Jul 2, 2020Thank you very much for your generosity. The vacuum is helping us to keep our room clean during the day. During this uncertain time, sanitizing and cleaning is vital for young students. They are able to interact during center time on the carpet with hands-on activities, and in less than five minutes the space is clean for a new transition of students in that area. Your gift is allowing the students to keep a new normal routine in the class with a clean and safe space and also is allowing them to learn through different spaces in the room which makes the learning process more enjoyable.
Thank you again, for all that you do to help the little whales!”

Funded Dec 16, 2019I am so grateful for your generous donation to my project. My students are beyond thrilled with the light table. There is something about the brightness and glowing effect that a light table produces that keeps them engaged in the learning process.
My students are using the light table with the light table accessories. The translucent cubes make a perfect addition to the table and allow them to use their creativity to build structures and discover patterns.
The moment I finished putting together the table, they asked me if they could play in that center. Of course I said yes, even though it was almost dismissal time. They enjoyed it for a few minutes. The next day the light table was part of our daily learning centers and they were so excited to have this new addition.
The next step for the light table is to aid the students with writing by tracing letters, numbers and shapes.
Thank you again for your support and for believing in education.”

Funded Aug 27, 2019My classroom is so different now that we are using the light filters and wobbling stools. The filters help block the bright light and turned the classroom into a very soothing environment.
The stools allow the students to have the movement input that they need and also help reduce the number of incidents because the children are focused on balancing themselves and enjoying the movement rather than looking for any kind of distraction.
The students were so excited to see the new seating arrangements. Initially, everybody wanted to use the stools but now they understood that everybody will have a turn and they can use it when they feel that they need to focus on certain activities. I was installing the light filters at the end of the day and the children kept asking 'what is that?'. They wanted to touch them and feel the texture of the material. I explained to them the purpose and they were satisfied and happy.
This new addition to our classroom will allow the students with special needs to find an outlet and enjoy the learning process.”

Funded Aug 27, 2019Thank you very much for your generosity. My students are thrilled with the new materials. We added a new learning center: Knobs and tools. It took a few weeks to understand the mechanics of designing vehicles but now you can appreciate the creations of cars, trains, and boats and different machines.
With the interlocking flakes, they are developing a better understanding of their space and their surrounding areas. They are also using these flakes and the building sets to create patterns or to classify colors and represent numbers.
I really appreciate your contribution to this stem project, which is allowing the students to be creative and to be engaged in the learning process.”
