• Healthy Snacks to Crash Hunger

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. Your gift allowed my students to have a snack during the first semester.

  When I showed them the boxes of the different healthy snacks that they will be getting, they were so excited and wanted to throw a party. Preschoolers would like to have a party everyday. It was really nice to see them so happy for a snack, something that for many people could not mean a lot. Some days if they are really hungry, a snack can make a big difference in their disposition and attitude toward learning and working hard. If their little stomachs are satisfied, they will have the energy to work and give their best effort.

  I will create a new project for snacks for the second semester.

• Math Every Day and Everywhere!

  Thank you very much for your generosity. My students are using the new math resources to acquire number sense. The Ten Frame Foam Boards are helping them develop number concepts and learn basic facts to ten. The number stamps are a success! The students love to stamp the numbers all over their writing journal. And the monkey balance is part of the most popular center for now.

  My students are always excited to receive new material and toys for their learning centers. Their smiles are better than a thousand words.

  For now we will introduce the concept of number sense one to three, but after a few months they will be able to use this material at their full potential going all the way to number ten and beyond.”

• Soccer, Basketball and More!

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. It was awesome to show my students the balls when we received them. They were so excited that they wanted to use them right away. I had to explain to them that we had to wait to go outside to play and practice with them.

  Once we were outside they could not wait any longer, all of them wanted to try them first. We had to organize them so they could take turns to explore them and practice with them.

  The following day, we formally practiced kicking soccer balls. Believe it or not it was a little challenging to keep the ball in a straight line. We are still practicing. Their gross motor skills are still developing, so we need to be patient.

  Next will come basketball and finally volleyball. It sounds ambitious but if they can at least shoot some balls or keep the volleyball in the air after two students touch it that will be awesome.

• Dramatic Play Area Needs a Revamp

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. In addition of needing a new kitchen play furniture, we also needed different types of accessories that can be used in the cooking process like, spatulas, ladder, etc. We had the opportunity to redesign the dramatic play area and provide more opportunities for our students for more social emotional practice to build social skills.

  My students were thrilled when they saw the new furniture and all the fabulous accessories to play with . They were jumping and eager to play right away.

  So far, we had been using this gift as a regular kitchen, restaurant, cafeteria, and cooking club. The students are so excited!

• Little Whales Need a Kitchen in Their Dramatic Play Area

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. We were in need of a new stove-kitchen play furniture. We had the opportunity to redesign the dramatic play area and provide more opportunities for our students for more social emotional practice to build social skills.

  My students were thrilled when they saw the new furniture. They were jumping and eager to play right away. I asked for some patience because we needed to finish with some last details.

  So far, we had been using this gift as a regular kitchen, restaurant, cafeteria, and cooking club. The students are so excited!

• Tables for Social Distance in our Classroom

  Funded Jan 8, 2022

  Thank you for your generous donation to my project. We unpacked the boxes and put the tables together to immediately have more room for social distance. These new tables allowed us to keep only two students per table. We rearranged the classroom and when our students came on Monday, they were surprised of the new seating chart and the space that they had for themselves. This new setting allows us to monitored better the students and sanitize properly their areas.

  We are using these tables space for more bigger art projects and centers.

• Science Table to Explore Together

  My students were so thrilled to receive the science table. They select some of the materials that they wanted to be place there. I am providing different objects and manipulatives were they can observe, use the mirror containers to see under and beside. It is giving my students a new perspective of things.

  We incorporate the table to the science center. Now they are able to have a designated place where they can explore, investigate and make discoveries by themselves. They are so proud of the things that they are discovering by themselves and this is allowing them to own their knowledge.

• Writing Is Communication in Preschool

  Thank you very much for your generous donations. My students are thrilled with the new dry eraser booklets and cards. This new tools make it fun to practice writing strokes, letters and numbers. They feel accomplished every time they finish a page or card of these writing instruments.

  My students are always excited to see new objects, articles, and tools in their learning centers. When they saw the dry eraser workbooks they were so excited because that meant to use also dry eraser markers. They believe that they are learning faster because they are able to use a more diverse range of writing tools.

  As the title of the project said: writing is communication. My students are eager to write and communicate the new words and letters that they are learning. They request using these tools because it is a fun way to encourage their desire and love for writing.

• STEM for Preschool, Science for the Little Ones

  Thank you very much for your generous donations to my classroom project. My students are eager learners that are amused by discovering new things at school. By being introduce to the amazing microscopic world where everything is observable from an apple seed to hair.

  They were excited to be introduce to a new world through the display of the microscopes. These tools added valuable experiences and is allowing our students to find their own answers about the world around them.

• Tables for Social Distance in Preschool

  We are so grateful for your generosity, specially during this difficult time in the world. My students are so happy to use the new tables for small groups or learning centers. These tables are allowing them to have more room to move and interact with their peers.

  Working in pairs it is easier when we are able to provide appropriate room to promote social distance. By having their own space they are able to focus for longer periods of time because they do not get out of task if distracted by side conversations or noise.
