  • Active Seating For Active Learners!

    My students thoroughly enjoyed using all of our new flexible seating options! They were able to choose a new seat everyday and could wiggle and wobble at their seats while still getting their work done! They were SO excited when I opened the box in front of them! I asked them to guess what we were getting! No one knew we were getting flexible seating options and they were so thrilled to see each different option! This year, we are adding more flexible seating options with a new donors choose project! Thank you all for your donations to our classroom!”

Each morning, my students come into the room ready to work hard and do their best learning. Right now, students are given one option, a chair and a table to sit at. I am requesting a variety of seating options to add to my classroom. These options will include stability balls, balancing cushions, and wobble stools. Having a classroom with diverse seating options will allow each child a chance to learn to their best ability. I want all of my students to be able to do their best work every day when they come into my classroom. Students will be given the opportunity to try out different seats until they find that "just right" fit for them. Trading seats daily will also teach my kindergarten students how to share and work together in groups each day!
