Welcome to 6th grade science! My classroom is student centered, hands on learning, and incorporates technology as much as possible. Students in my class learn about scientific inquiry, engineering, ecosystems, energy, electricity and magnetism, cells and body systems. We have a great year learning together!
Our school teaches through the lens of STEM: science, technology, engineering and math. More then a third of our students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. Many of our students come from different cultures with more than two dozen different native languages spoken at home. Our school offers advanced classes for students who excel in academics. We also have a large population of special education students at our school who are integrated into many of the classes. Differentiation is critical at our school to ensure that all students are learning and growing academically.
