Global Missions
Funded Nov 20, 2011Thank You for making our Global Missions Theme Unit a success. I ordered the products from Lakeshore Learning in hopes to make classroom projects to align with our school theme. Our multi cultural studies began during the holidays as we traveled from continent to continent learning about traditions and landforms.
As we traveled around the world, we used the art supplies to make a passport of crafts that represents various traditions from each continent. Kids made meaningful connections and were very proud of their collection of work.
At the conclusion of our three week study, I used the new binding machine to secure their work into take home books. The kids were overjoyed! I received many wonderful letters from parents about the quality of the work that was brought home and the meaningful discussion kids were having about their experiences.
Thank you for making this an exciting start to our studies this year!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Saoud
On Your Mark, Get Set, MathStart
Funded May 8, 2011I want to thank you for supporting my class. We recently received our fully funded projects. Late September, my class made connections to the school book of the month: Under the Lemon Moon. As well as connection, my students learned more about collecting and discussing data.
Time is an important skill. We take for granted the digital clock. I love the visual provided with Stuart J. Murphy and watching my students light bulbs turn on when I taught the kids to use the analog clock.
Whether we are reading and making connection to literature or applying math skills, my kids have benefited from your gracious donation. I'm certain our new treasures will inspire magnificent learning! Thanks again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Saoud
