  • Math and Media.

    Funded Dec 19, 2019

Wonders never cease! I was overwhelmed by the generosity shown for this particular project. We had analyzed our library and found that we needed more books about math to enjoy. When the new books arrived and were put on display, the students went straight for them and started reading and sharing them.

When they saw the printer and realized their works could and would be printer in color, they were elated. When they began to see their faces as I snapped pictures of them working and printed them, their self-esteem went higher. When I printed big pictures for College awareness with caps, they were proud and read to fulfill their dreams. Thanks again.”

    With gratitude,

  • Reading Within Reach

    Funded Oct 25, 2019

I have a class of voracious readers. They loved all the new additions to the library and that they have at least 20 titles of brand new books on several levels.

They wanted to read them immediately. They are reading at least 8 books at every level and requesting to be assessed to see if they are ready for the next basket. We are about to dive into a characters study unit and these books have wonderful strong characters for them to learn about and from.

Your generosity has brought us great joy.”

    With gratitude,

  • Reducing Anxiety in Our Workspace!

    Funded Sep 15, 2019

I cannot describe the heartfelt joy in my student's faces when they saw the rug. They love the design. They love the art and most definitely the comfort. They sit, lay and totally enjoy working on the rug with friends and by themselves.

All the students now have sensory cushions which they love to sit and wiggle energy off on. Some enjoy giving themselves massages as they also use them as back rests. No one knows which students need the extra "help" because all look the same and enjoy them in an inclusive environment.

We are fortunate because of your generosity.”

  • Technologically Savvy!

    Funded Jun 3, 2019

Thank you so much for all the generous donations sent our way. In this age of technology, it is a must to have it available for students to enhance their learning.

My students are super excited to use the chrome books. The get to play games, watch videos and practice skills needed in ELA and mathematics. Their practice is individualized for the skills they need. They also get to learn to type as they use the chrome-books for word processing.

We do a lot of project based learning and the technology allows them the opportunity to conduct research to develop the topics of their choice.

Again, thank you for your help.”

  • Comfort While We Learn

    Funded Oct 11, 2018

We are so grateful for your generosity. We all have a sensory cushion to be comfortable in any space in our classroom. Whether we choose our desk reading space or choose the floor. At our seats we fan be comfortable and read, write, work on many tasks.

The books are also a wonderful addition to our classroom library. As we transition from stories into nonfiction reading and writing. They bring joy to the readers. They also will serve as research books and mentor texts. The students choose a text to model the work they want to produce and go to work.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santos-Vizcaino

  • Flexible Seating for 303DL.

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The students came in and had huge smiles on their faces. They asked, politely, if they could have either a wiggle chair or cushion. Some requested the bands. I was delighted to see how they manage their needs and how focused they were on their work. It really helps the fidgety kids and the room is much quieter.

They wanted to write thank you cards right away! They are grateful to see people are willing to help and that Ripple did help to give us #Thebestschooldayever. You have made our classroom very happy.”

  • Mrs. Vizcaino's Tech Booster.

    Funded Jan 29, 2018

Thank you for your generosity. We now have for our use chrome books that allow us mobility and use of the Internet. Students are now able to use word processing to type their projects and writing pieces. They have access to books in Spanish and in English to read books and answer comprehension questions. They are also able to practice math on line.

The students are super excited to have access to technology everyday. We use the computers as a center and for word processing. They do not have technology as a special and only could get access to ipads for perhaps a period per week. Some do not have access to technology at home and are delighted to get time on a computer. Students are excited to type, add pictures to their work and make powerpoint presentations.

Your generosity has allowed them to practice literacy and math.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santos-Vizcaino

  • Making Our Classroom Beautiful And Color Coordinated!

    Funded Jul 22, 2015

I am so glad you decided to donate and fund this project. May your generosity be multiplied in return to you.

The students came into school to find the walls color coordinated and waiting to display their work. They found color coordinated folders and holders waiting to receive their work in both of their classrooms. It did not matter if the room is not their designated one, they felt welcome in both rooms, they had materials in both rooms and they felt that they were ready to show all of the work .

It is extremely important to have children feel pride and for them all to start at the same place. You allowed for that feeling in our rooms. By just coming through the door, the students had what they needed to work and show off.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santos-Vizcaino

  • 21st Century Learning

    Funded Nov 2, 2014

I am grateful for the materials we were able to acquire as a result of your generosity. I see my student's pride as they share their work and are able to see work projected for all of us to work on together. When they saw the document camera, computer and projector they were very excited.

We are using the computer to access information and videos from the Internet. The projector to expand to a larger viewing area. We use the document camera to use actual students work and to buddy edit and revise authentic student writing. We also use the computer for research, word processing and to access internet based programs.

The ability to acquire these materials has brought our classroom into the 21st Century. It is one of the CCSS that students be familiar with research techniques and technology.

I again thank you for your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santos-Vizcaino

  • Laminating and Projecting Our Work

    Funded Apr 21, 2014

I wanted to again thank you for the generosity you showed to my students and our classroom. The students were able to laminate work. I was able to laminate their pictures and other items to make displays more attractive and preserve their work. It made for a homier classroom of happy and proud students especially when parents were invited into our room to celebrate their work.

When colleagues visited they can identify the name to match a face as they read and admired my student's work. This made me even prouder of all of the students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Santos-Vizcaino

From Brooklyn to Success! My school is an urban setting with a diverse population. 100% of our students receive free lunch and about 65% are Hispanic. My students are friendly, enjoy visual arts and sciences and displaying their hard work. They work hard and deserve the opportunity to maximize the resource available to do even better. I want to engage all my students in a creative and collaborative environment by increasing access to technology, to deliver differentiated instruction based on the Common Core Standards in math and writing, to develop and enrich technology skills and to infuse music and art throughout the curriculum. They are all unique and I want technology to tailor their learning to them as individuals.
