Chair Pockets for Books
Funded Sep 17, 2021My students and I are so grateful for your donation towards the book pockets.
Thanks to your donation, all students have a book pocket on the chair. Students can now store their leveled books, library books, and books from home in their book pockets.
Students have so much individual supplies and work looks to keep at their tables and the book pockets help students organize their small desk space.
The book pockets are sturdy and well made. I will be able to wash them and reuse them every year.
Thank you so much!”

Star Writers In Training
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation towards my recent project, "Star Writers in Training". Thanks to your donation, every Kindergartener in my class has a journal writing notebook to practice writing everyday.
Students have been writing about their feelings and what they learn at school and it's evident that they are growing as star writers each day. Students enjoy journal writing time and learning to communicate their thoughts with themselves as well as others via writing.
My students and I truly appreciate your help!!!”

Funded Feb 3, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation towards my recent project, zooming for learning.
The new 13" MacBook Air has improved the quality of distance learning for my class. I have much easier time making google slides because it processes a lot faster. Students can view much better quality video resources via the new MacBook Air too. Also, advanced zoom features are available now to use in breakout rooms for small group intervention instructions.
Overall, the class is learning much more effectively thanks to your donations! We truly appreciate your giving.”

Arts for Creative Minds
Funded May 6, 2020Words can't describe how grateful I am for your support for Art Education that will help my students be expressive and creative in this unprecedented time.
My Kindergarteners are learning live on Zoom now, but I believe there are still ways to make learning more fun and interactive for those second language learners.
With your donations, I will make storytelling more engaging by using the storytelling puppets on Zoom. They will learn new vocabulary and practice language patterns with the puppets I show on the document camera. I am planning to use 'The Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly' storytelling kits next week which will be perfect for the October theme.
When my class goes back to school, we will be using the art materials to broaden the creativity in those little kids' minds. We are all looking forward to working in a safe environment again soon!”

Funded Oct 17, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations. Your donations helped me upgrade the technology devices for my kindergarten class. Students are using the new iPads to enhance their learning on the new STEM and reading apps. I was able to enroll my students in coding.org during the week of the hour of code, and now everyone has access to learn how to code at school. They are also advancing in reading through amplify reading program which was not available to download on our old iPads.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to extend learning using the upgraded technology.”

Funded Oct 9, 2019First of all, my class and I want to say a big thank you for your generous donations towards our project, "Time for a Technology Upgrade".
The iPad upgrade you made possible is making a tremendous impact on technology integrated instructions. Since we received the new iPads, students learned to use two online learning resources. Amplify Reading is a reading resource that students pace their own learning through fun educational phonics games. Students also learned to play "Kahoot!" in small group instructions to review and extend their learning by playing jeopardy type of games on the iPads.
We truly appreciate your giving hearts and your care for educating future leaders.”

Funded Sep 10, 2019Thank you so much for funding my first project this school year and getting my class a new 9'x12' rug and 6 rainbow seating cushions.
Our old rug was 7 plus years old and It was unsanitary for anyone to sit on. But now my Kinder students spend more than a half of the day on the new rug engaged in reading, class discussions, group projects, and learning poems and songs. With the new rug, everyone in my class feel happy and healthy, and the floor activities are more enjoyable.
The rainbow cushions are being used for flexible sitting and they've been boosting up the fun for reading as well.
Words can't describe how thankful we are for your generosity.”

Tech-Friendly Learning
Funded Sep 17, 2019The new printer for my Kindergarten class with over one third of the class ELD students made a great impact on students' learning. First, students now have color printed visuals for all reading and writing maps and charts to help them understand the new vocabulary. Next, students also have center signs posted around the room to be familiar with the frequently used words. Lastly, my students use printed Korean labels on their work to enrich their print of concept in Korean. There are so many ways to make the kindergarten classroom print rich with a new wireless color printer and we are so lucky to have it donated by the people who care about dual language education.”

Funded Nov 2, 2017The new ELMO, projector, and the bluetooth speaker have enhanced my students' learning 100%. Every day, students enjoy watching thematically aligned video clips on BrainPop Jr. during breakfast time and take an online easy quiz for checking for understanding. They also love to engage in brain break time by doing indoor PE as the video instructions are projected on the big screen. The projection on ELMO is so clear and bright that we don't even have to turn off the classroom light any more!! No more working in the dark room!!!!
