The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding and managing of their feelings and emotions. Mental health education is so important to start teaching at a young age. The students need to learn to regulate their feelings and have a tool box of techniques to use when they become frustrated. I want to provide resources, books, games, and posters to teach and reinforce social emotional education in our room. My students struggle with behavioral and emotions issues. We have a chill zone and calming area that they use when they start feeling mad. I would like the opportunity to teach lessons to help them understand their feelings and to be able to have them express themselves.
