This classroom project was brought to life by New Teacher Fund and 12 other donors.

The materials listed—shoes, pants, and fleece—will help our program tremendously. New shoes to last the season and warm-ups help us as a competitive varsity team in the Houston, Texas, area. Our goal as players and coaches is to represent our school and city well wherever basketball may take us. However, here at GSC, students are repeatedly reminded that the odds are stacked against them, whether at home, at school, or within social interactions. GSC has been under-developed, served, and equipped as far as athletics go for the past decade, and we wish to change that. With no booster club or public funding us, these materials will give our student-athletes the opportunity to not only be competitive but also have the resources to sustain great results for this season and seasons to come.
