PCR Experience Research
Funded Jan 10, 2025I would like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to my project through Donors Choose. Thanks to your support, we were able to acquire the materials necessary to teach students valuable biotechnology skills, particularly through the use of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique. This hands-on experience has not only enriched their learning but also provided them with the tools to understand how biotechnology is applied to solve real-world problems.
The opportunity to incorporate PCR into the curriculum has been a game-changer for my students. It has allowed them to experience firsthand how research is conducted, how to approach scientific inquiry, and why research is essential for solving global challenges. These skills are critical in today's world, and your donation has made it possible for my students to develop them in a real, meaningful way.
At Central Dauphin East High School, we have never had access to advanced research equipment like this before. This has opened a door to new opportunities for my students to engage in scientific research that was previously out of reach. Because of your support, my students now have the chance to develop a deeper understanding of both the process and importance of scientific research, which will benefit them in their academic and professional futures.
Thank you again to all of the donors for making this possible. Your commitment to supporting education has helped me provide my students with a richer, more engaging learning experience, and I am so grateful for your ongoing support. I look forward to continuing to create better learning opportunities for my students with your generous help.
With sincere appreciation,”

STEM Building
Funded Nov 13, 2024With much thanks we are very thankful to have the materials we need to build cars and have competitions. Thank you for supporting my projects and my students. This year we received so many materials we can support students in the class and have many competitions. Thank you for providing the materials we need to be successful. As a teacher, it is challenging to get materials for large groups of students. This year I have more than enough to keep our projects going.
Thank you for supporting our projects and providing opportunities to our students. The cars were created by 11-12 grade students and they were very excited to compete with each other. The creativity that the students presented to make their cars was amazing. We are extremely grateful and send our thanks to everyone who continues to support us in and outside of the classroom”

Funded Dec 15, 2023Thank you for providing snacks for my students as a reward for positive behavior. The students are very thankful and participates in class activities more during review day in class. The material provided allows me to give positive feedback to students and a reward for participating in class activities.
Thank you for always supporting my students and making my classroom environment the best enviroment to learn and grow. Students are engaged and active in class and they continue to participate and ask questions
Thank you donors for supporting my classroom.”

The Science Laboratory
Funded Dec 7, 2023Thank you for the laboratory materials. Students were very excited to learn about Forensics science. The students had the opportunity to explore different scenarios and cases during the lab practical. They were so excited to make the blood samples and test them. Creating the lab environment was very cool and students were engaged in the activity.
The next steps would be to explore different diseases using gel electrophoresis. I will need agarose gel and samples that can be used to conduct a lab that is safe for High School students. The materials for the lab will allow students to expand their thinking and learn how to do research in a laboratory.
Thank you for supporting my students!”

Creative Science Champs
Funded Dec 5, 2023Thank you, donors, for supporting me and my students. My students are grateful for the opportunity. The students were very engaged and wanted to do more projects related to cells. Thank you for providing the materials for the projects and giving my students the opportunity to learn new things.
The next projects we will be working on involves understanding blood typing and how it works. Students are excited to learn this topic and be able to do labs like forensic science.
Thank you for helping my students in their learning journey. We appreciate everything that you do for teachers and teachers.”

Hands-on Research Projects
Funded Nov 30, 2022Students were encouraged and excited about begin able to do hands on activities and projects. This gift card will allow students to continue to receive hands on experiences and build their knowledge of the science content. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach students and more about the topics related to science. Last year was tough due to the Covid-19 shutdown.
Students were not able to get the quality educational experience they deserved. This year was filled with so many opportunities to learn distance and in-person. Thank you for allowing me to students and giving them a opportunity to learn new ways and do creative things!
