Funded Jan 19, 2022I want to thank you so much for your donations and making this project possible. The impact this materials are having in my classroom has been so great! My students have enjoyed reading these books and having them available in our class library. I have develop Social Emotional Learning lessons for them to discuss empathy, character traits, problem solving, managing emotions, accepting differences and growth mindset. They have loved learning about real life people and their stories of endurance, resilience and love. I am so grateful for the opportunity to do this in my classroom.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021My students and I are very excited to be using these resources from Hand2mind. The VersaTiles help my students review and reinforce their skills during small group instruction. They love the VersaTiles because these are so hands on that they just like manipulating the pieces and then getting the answers correct by looking at the patterns of the tiles.
This resource helps me assess them in skills already taught and helps me determine who needs more help/instruction at a particular concept.
I am so grateful for your donations and the care and empathy you have shown by helping with this project. Thank you so much once again and because of people like you I can continue my work which I love doing!”

Funded May 5, 2021First of all, thank you very much for your donations. The virtual resources I purchased with the money has helped very much in classroom and virtually. I am able to assigned students with virtual assignments, practice, and homework. I don't have to make copies and waste paper in classroom. Students work at their iPads and submit their work electronically.
I also have remote students that get their work virtually and are able to complete the same work as in person students. I am so grateful I can do this and my students that are at home are not missing any important information or work.
The resources are great and very useful for this year. Thank you so much!”

I was able to purchase different virtual field trips in which they will learn more about the world, thank you for helping me bring the world into our virtual classroom. They will learn from England, Brazil and other countries thanks to you!”

Funded Sep 30, 2020Thank you so much for your donations. Because of your help I was able to get materials on Teacher Pay Teachers. These materials are ready for distance learning and ready for students to work on. We use Google Classroom apps for our teaching and leaning. These materials were created for these platforms. It has been hard not to be able to teach in the classroom, but with these resources I have been able to deliver the instruction needed for my students.
My students have enjoyed these materials, they have been easy to use and submit without any problems. It also easy for me to grade and give them feedback on their work. The pictures submitted do not show students working on them but show their work.
We are going to be completing a project for Black History Month, where students will search a famous person and write information using the Google Slides app. This project was funded by your donations since I bought the resource in TPT and I know my students will be able to use it without no problem and submit their work. Thank you so much for your help, I cannot thank you enough!!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Our school fitness club used these materials to introduce our students to healthy eating and yoga. Students in fitness club were able to know more about yoga and learn new poses. We used yoga as a way to relax and meditate in the mornings. Students were ready to learn and were more conscious about their eating choices.
Students were excited to use the yoga mats and use the yoga cards as a new way to exercise. They also learned a lot from Myplate.gov resources to create healthy plates were logging in their eating habits. We had discussions about different foods that may have a negative impact to our bodies. Students were engaged and had fun time.
These materials will be used every year in fitness club to teach children the value of being fit and making healthy food choices in their daily lives. Thank you very much for your donation, students and I are grateful for people like you that value education and the well being of students.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018The math Versa tiles have been a success in my classroom. Students work with these materials during small groups, centers and intervention time. These Versa tiles keep them engaged and is a fun way to get the feedback right away.
The students love these math manipulatives and are always trying their best to get their answers correctly to solve the puzzles. They were hesitant at first because it is something they never saw before but once I taught them how to use them they were excited!
One thing about these materials is that they are very sturdy and will last for a long time, I will continue use them with my small groups and as centers. I am really thankful for your donation since it made a big impact in my classroom by fostering independence and engagement. My students and I are really grateful for people like you that believe in education. Thank you very much!”

Funded Mar 30, 2017Thank you very much for sponsoring my project. Teaching informational text (biographies, places and historical data) through the "Who is/What is, Where is series" has been a blast. Students were able to read these books and create a "Matchbook" book report. My English Language Learners had support in reading through visuals, timelines, pictures and easy vocabulary with these books. They got the most important information from the texts and were able to summarize for their book report. At the same time they learned from amazing places, they will probably won't get the opportunity to travel to; and they learned from different famous persons they wondered about.
Students were able to choose their books, based on what they were interested in. They had many to choose from! Thanks to you! Students were also given time in the classroom to read their books through silent reading. At the same time they took notes in a graphic organizer for their final project.
This year, new fifth graders will be enjoying these books and complete a similar project to the one from last school year. These books are available in my classroom library for them to check out and enjoy!”

Mrs. Salmeron
