• So Fresh and So Clean, Clean in STEAM!

  On behalf of the children and all classroom staff, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support means the world to us and makes a real difference in the lives of our young learners.

  We were so excited to receive your donation, which will be used to keep our classroom clean and germ free after our messy (but always fun) hands-on activities.

  The children's faces light up when they get to play with slime, use various methods to paint, and even when we clean up the "oil spill" and save animals! The bountiful STEAM activities we engage in, are helping them develop their problem-solving skills and expand their critical thinking.

  Your contribution helps us create a stimulating and enriching learning environment where children can explore, discover, and grow. We are so grateful for your commitment to early childhood education and your belief in the potential of our students.

• Clean & STEAM

  My students and I are grateful to have a germ-free classroom where we can learn and thrive. We make slime once a month and our tables can get really dirty. Art projects like our Frida Kahlo inspired self-portraits were also a messy, but fun, experience. Thanks to our cleaning supplies we can experiment in messy ways and know that we can clean it all up!

  With our current unit of study, "Bread", we will conduct a bread mold experiment. We have paper towels, and cleaning wipes, and rubbing alcohol, so we are prepared to explore freely.

• STEAM Library Magic

  Thank you for your support and generosity. My students love exploring new books and because of you, we now have the opportunity to access an assortment of book titles.

  Reading is the foundation to all areas of learning. My students marvel when we share a story they can relate to, or even when we revisit any of their favorite characters. Teaching STEAM and being able to connect a story to our lessons has been an amazing privilege.

  Whether they are already reading or beginning emergent learners, my students love picking up a new book and they are great at sharing with their classmates! Thank you so much for helping my STEAM classroom grow!”

• The Brooklyn STEAM Teacher in Need of Tech!

  I want to personally thank you for your very kind and generous donations. Thanks to you, I have been able to give my students an endless variety of materials. The desktop computer is fast, up to date, and it makes creating unique worksheets a breeze! I can also search for age-appropriate songs and videos that enhance my STEAM lessons and makes the students even more engaged!

  In addition, I had the opportunity to host a Parent Engagement event where some of students and their parents joined me through a Google Meet Event. We shared a read aloud (The Very Busy Spider, by Eric Carle), and made a craft activity to go along with the story! Thanks to having access to this technology, I was able to make their experience a positive and productive affair without any glitches or technological malfunctions!

• STEAM Classroom Magic!

  Magnets have been the most exciting items to ever enter my Pre-K STEAM classroom! We have been using them non-stop and it has been so much fun! My students learned about different types of forces during our transportation unit of study. Using magnets as a force was especially engaging and fun for them. We enjoyed using magnets so much, that they are still available in our Science center for daily use!

  Also, having headphones to use with our classroom tablets has made an incredible difference. We no longer have to adjust individual volumes or have the need to move people around the room in order to spread out the "noise". We are able to complete our technology activities without audibly disturbing any of our other friends.
