My students are energetic and full of a want to thrive who are on the spectrum. Distant Learning has been a difficult transition for them, and it is hard to accommodate their needs. My class is composed of students ages 7 to 9. As a whole, we are both learning how work distance learning and how to use technology in our everyday life. "If They Can't Learn The Way We Teach, We Teach The Way They Learn". This is a reminder that though their abilities might be different than others, as educators we must accommodate our teaching to fit students learning style in order to achieve successful learning. Each student in my classroom has a different need. Some need extra time to finish work. Others need simpler instructions. Some are visual learners and others are auditory learners. I am teaching them, but they are also teaching me. They are kind and very helpful all the time.
