STEM in 5th Grade
Funded Nov 8, 2023We've been having a blast learning through science experiments and STEM activities. We cannot thank you enough for all the activities bought for our class. We have learned so much through doing instead of just looking at a text. It has brought joy to my students even though they have to persevere through the tasks. It makes learning and collaboration happen in more interesting ways. Students are learning through doing and building. My school and classroom have been very blessed with everyone's generosity.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023We have already began to use the STEM challenges in the classroom. The kids were so excited to engineer and test their balloon rockets purchased. We worked with another class as a preview for our next unit of study. Students were engaged in their learning and working together to complete their project. We cannot wait to complete another one in the next weeks. Thank you so much for your generosity and helping my students increase their science knowledge through experiments. I cannot wait to complete the next one!”

Funded Jun 11, 2023It's the beginning of the school year. My room looks fantastic with my new classroom as the center of attention. This will be a great soft sport for learning to happen. Students will be able to sit close to the board to engage in the lesson. Students will be able to sit in small groups and work together. Students will also be able to have a soft place to land. I'm overwhelmed with the generosity you have given to my students and future learners. Thank you so much for helping my classroom become a home for learning!”

Myths and Legends Books
Funded Mar 14, 2023We are so excited to read about myths and fables in our last module this year! Thank you so much for your generous donation in order for my classroom to add books to the shelves. We received them today and they could not wait to open one and learn more about what we are reading in class. We are very blessed to have others help in building our classroom library. I want my students to have a love of books and exploring the world. Thank you again for helping us get our goal of an independent reading station for module 4 our our wit and wisdom program!”

ClassDojo Reward Store
Funded Nov 29, 2022My class has thoroughly enjoyed the classroom store I was able to put together. They love the tangible items they can earn with good behavior. The squishies, pens, and markers have been the best items they have bought. Students cannot wait til we get our monthly store open. Thank you so much for your generosity and making my classroom store a big hit! Sometimes having an item they can work towards buying with points will make classroom behaviors better. Students have been more responsible and respectful in my room.”

Funded Sep 30, 2022Thank you so much for Hatchet books and animals. We've already had a Campout Day to experience the books where we read the books and got excited about the unit! They're enjoying learning about all the animals the character, Brian, will be meeting in our book. They're learning about the forest and mountains. They're looking at different types of shelters that Brian could have made. We're excited to have these books in our classroom! We appreciate your generosity and helping my classroom build our knowledge!”

Math Books, Games, & Centers
Funded Jul 29, 2022My students have enjoyed the math centers I've got set up this year. They are able to practice concepts and build mathematical fluency by being to work with their groups. We've read books about math and being able to read about math has been a great addition to my classrooms. The kids are able to work in these centers with very little help from me while I am working with my small groups. Students know what to do and are able to do them most days. Thank you so much for adding group work and fun to my math class this year!”

If We Can't Go Outside, Let's Play Indoors!
Funded Jan 25, 2022My students are enjoying their indoor recess games and toys. They are building and creating. They work together and use their imaginations when we cannot go outside to play. I enjoy watching them have fun and use the extra time in a structured time. They actually look forward to indoor recess when weather doesn't allow up to go outside. Thank you so much for allowing my students and my future students to have time to play and use their creative side with the legos, Brainflakes, and Lincoln logs!”

Books for the Heart
Funded Aug 12, 2021We've already received some of the books from our list. Kids are already excited to learn more about the great hearted people we are learning about in class. I made sure to choose books at different levels so students could have access to the content. We've received an interactive model of how blood flows through the heart they can use a pump with. All I got was oohs and ash's from the kids and can't wait to see it work when we get to how the heart works. Thank you so much for your generosity and helping us learn more about the literal and figurative heart!”

Funded May 4, 2021We are in the second week of school and my students are already enjoying the stand-up desks and rolling stools. I'm able to create groups easily and change them as needed. I've noticed students who struggle staying in a seated position all day, are using the stand-up part to complete their work. I've got two complete groups with stand-up seats and rolling stools and they're well liked. Students can't wait to be able to use them when I change seating. I'm so thankful for your generosity and these desks and seats will be utilized all year and in the next coming years!”
