Here at MS 61, our goal is to make sure that we provide a quality education that allows our students access to a 21st century classroom full of technology. Having access to simple incentives made our test prep unit a success.
The impact of having simple supplies such as a stickers, toner, and candy has been overwhelming and amazing. The students were excited the to receive the work with a gold star!

Teaching From a Cart!
Funded Nov 30, 2021I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of my project "Teaching From the Cart" Your personal commitment was incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal. Your assistance means so much to me but even more to my middle schoolers.
Here at MS 61, our goal is to make sure that we provide a quality education that allows our students access to a 21st century classroom full of technology. Having access to all my supplies including iPads, docu-camera and my students handouts has made transitioning from class to class a breeze.
The impact of having simple supplies such as a teaching cart in our classroom has been overwhelming and amazing. The students were excited the day I rolled into class, this meant that they will no longer have help me carry supplies to my next class...LOL! Now they ask: "Can I push your cart to your next class."..LOL!

Having access to a charging station in our classroom has made our classroom room smoother. Something so small as a charger has made our students and teachers lives so much easier.
The impact of having simple supplies such as a charging station in our classroom has been overwhelming and amazing. The students were so shocked and amazed that they would have a fully charged iPad and be able to charge their devices throughout the day as needed.

Something so small as ink has made our students lives so much easier, they now take pride in their work and love seeing it displayed on the bulletin boards.
The impact of having simple supplies such as ink in our classroom has been overwhelming and amazing. The students were so shocked and amazed that they could use the supplies to print the projects and essays when they needed.

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you for making it possible to keep our classrooms germ free and abide by CDC guidelines. As a math educator, I am always looking for fun and exciting ways to deliver math content to 7th grade students and with the current state of our world due to COVID-19 it's challenging.
Thanks to your donation my students are now able to come to school everyday and know that they will be in a safe and germ-free environment to enjoy learning, regardless of where they sit in the classroom.
My students KNOW and feel that when they enter the classroom, it is an environment that is safe and clean for learning.”

I am so excited to know that such wonderful people stepped up to help my students transition back to our traditional in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year. Although remote learning was not easy it did push the use of technology and allowed my students to truly experience learning in a new way.
Thanks to your donation many students are now able to use the iPads with ease, these cases help protect the devices when they are not in the classroom and it has already protected the iPads from a fall or two. "Long Live the iPads"

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you for making it possible to incorporate media content in a math lesson. As a math educator, I am always looking for fun and exciting ways to deliver math content to 7th grade students.
Thanks for your donation my students are now able to enjoy math videos. The Sony Sound bar and headphones amplifies the sounds from the videos making it possible for every student, regardless of where they sit in the classroom, to hear and engage in the lesson.
My students and colleagues are enjoying the benefits of the Sony Sound bar and headphones Because I am able to share the Sony sound bar with colleagues' students across grades are learning and enjoying their lessons.

Funded Jun 8, 2021I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of my project " Easy on the EYES". Your personal commitment was incredibly helpful and allowed us to reach our goal.
Here at MS 61, our goal is to make sure that we provide a quality education that allows our students access to a 21st century classroom full of technology. Before school started, I received the Anti blue light tempered glass protector and the stylus pens. I was able to have everything setup and ready for the 1st day of school. Having access to these materials made the transition back to in-person learning successful, we have been able to continue using the online learning platforms.
The part that excites some students the most is that now completing their assignments on the iPad's are easy and their eyes aren't hurting. They are eager to complete most assignments online and we are moving towards a paper free classroom.

Funded May 5, 2021Thank you so much for making this project possible for my fantastic 7th grade students. I received our project materials 2 weeks before the last day of school. The plan was to have students come to school to pick up their goodie bags but instead I was able to hand deliver a goodie bag to 43 students.
My Students HAD a BLAST at the virtual end of year zoom CELEBRATIONS. They were excited and thankful that Family, friends and strangers donated to this project.
On behalf of my students and myself, I thank you again for making my students end-of-year celebration possible. It is my sincere hope that the kindness that you sowed into the lives of my students may come back to you ten-folds.”

Here at MS 61, our goal is to make sure that we provide a quality education that allows our students access to a 21st century classroom full of technology. first we received the printer and that was a huge success that with-in the first week ran out of paper and ink. Having access to a printer, ink and paper has made their lives so much easier especially those that do not have access to a such items at home. Something so small as a color paper and ink has made our 7th graders lives so much easier, they now take pride in their work and love seeing it displayed on the bulletin boards.
The impact of having of have simply supplies such as ink and paper in our classroom has been overwhelming and amazing. The students were so shocked and amazed that they could use the supplies to print the projects and essays when they needed.
The part that excites some students the most is that now they know they are turning in a level 4 assignment due to the color paper and the images.
