Bishop Woods School is a Kindergarten through 8th grade school; I am the only art teacher and teach the entire school. New Haven Public Schools are a Title I district, where all students get free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are of black/African-American and/or Hispanic-descent; this is historically a demographic is notoriously underrepresented in the art field.
