After assessing the needs of my classroom I searched for a product that would be beneficial to the varied learning levels of my students. The Osmo program will offer my class primary educational benefits in Literacy and STEAM. Osmo will also, expose my English language learners to creative problem solving and offer educational enrichment and support in the area ofSTEAM . The Osmo program is a system that works exclusively on the iPad device. The system and the iPads will offer my students: • Number sense and math confidence • Spatial sense and visual acuity • Reading and vocabulary • Creativity and problem solving • Hand-eye coordination and self expression • Coding fundamentals • Pattern recognition • Sequencing and loops • Rhythm, harmony and melody • Creative coding This gift to my classroom will help to foster a love of learning as well as exposure and practice in the area of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) for my diverse English language learners.
