As a new educator, I lack many of the resources accumulated by more veteran teachers. My students deserve the same education as their peers who have access to more resources. My goal is to increase the amount and quality of resources available to my students. One of which is meaningful, high-interest, quality literature that reflects the interests of my students. Flexible seating allows students to work in a position of their choosing and therefore comes with certain responsibilities. The privilege of flexible seating requires that students fully commit to completing a task. It also helps students who may not yet have the stamina to sit in a plastic chair for hours. My students are creative, energetic, and eager to learn.
