Carpets for a More Cozy Feel

Thank you so much for making our classroom a cozy and welcoming learning environment! Our classroom rug is where we all come together as a community. We start our day together in our classroom meeting, we read together throughout the day, and the students love being able to work together on the rug.

As part of our literacy work every day, the students work through stations together. Much of the time, they are working together on the rug to read to each, put words together, or practice their writing. They also have the opportunity to work through their STEM bins together, building houses and bridges. It is a joy to see their interaction with each other after such an isolating past few years.
