Distance Learning Can be Dynamite!
Funded Aug 11, 2020Wow!! It's truly been one crazy year. There is no possible way to thank you all enough for your generosity towards my class and I. Without your help I would have never been able to supply my class with all of the supplies. Books and goodies that really made this year more manageable. As the pandemic continues, I feel so lucky to be able to continue providing a quality education to my students as well as providing them with all the extras to help them continue to smile. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you again and wish you all a very happy and healthy new year.”

Mrs. Timsit

Funded Mar 31, 2020I can't thank you enough for the constant and generous support of my classroom! When my project came through this Spring, I had no idea just how vital this supply of ink and paper would be come!
Even though we were not physically in our classroom, these materials have saved my life. Because of your generosity I was able to create memory books for my culminating 5th graders!
Now as the new year begins, I was able to now prepare for a whole bunch of students. Beginning a new school year is hard but beginning online is extremely difficult. Thankfully, I was able to prepare and send out activities to my students that I would otherwise have been unable to do. You all really helped make both of these transitions easier for both my students and I. Thank you again from the very bottom of my heart!”

Mrs. Timsit
Soaring With Our Scaffolds!
Funded Oct 26, 2019I really can't thank you enough for all of your donations. As a teacher you want to give your students all that you can but that has been so difficult due to the economy as well as the devastating budget cuts to our school district. My students have thoroughly been enjoying all of their new manipulative and learning tools. Having a learning disability is hard but having a tool box of things that can help them meet the rigorous standards required of them means the world to me. Thanks to all of you. My students are now gaining even more skills that will last them a lifetime. Thank you again for being such a big part of our learning journey.”

We Like to Move It, Move It!
Funded Oct 29, 2019The impact your donations have made is truly immeasurable! My students have so much flexibility on where and how they learn. Not being stuck in a chair all day gas allowed them to focus on what is being taught rather than using all of their focusing abilities to stay still in a hard, plastic chair. All of the extras you have provided have really allowed my students freedom that they have never experienced before. You have not really seen joy until you can see children learning while comfortable and in a manner that best suits them. Thank you so much for helping my students reach their learning goals and allowing me to help engage them in the challenging curriculum they face daily!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Timsit
Help Us Get Back to the Basics!!
Funded Oct 28, 2019We've now had two weeks with all of our new equipment!' My students are so excited to choose where and how they'd like to learn each and every day. It has truly been an experience to see their bright happy faces as all these new choices are now available to best help them learn. We now have enough different types of seating to accommodate each and every student as well as the children to mainstream into my room each day. In addition, they are truly enjoying their times tables tablets! What a fun way to practice!! We also now finally have enough glue and scissors to cover every student. What a relief!! I can't thank you all enough, your donations mean the world to all of us.”

Funded Jan 31, 2012With a tremendous amount of excitement and gratitude I are pleased to announce that all of our project materials have all arrived and they are GREAT! The students became so excited every time a new box arrived at our classroom door! We are so grateful to have more tools to enhance our daily learning. The children have already figured out how to navigate both the ipod touch and the tablets and they are used multiple times during the day! We also have been busily illustrating all of our reports and class stories with our wonderful new watercolor markers. The vibrant colors sure make r work come alive!
Recently we have also been working on expository research reports on the solar system, space, astronomers, and astronauts. With all of our new technology, browsing the Internet has become much easier than before! While browsing the Internet in class one afternoon, one of my students found Neil Armstrong's famous words that he said from the moon. This is a first for us since before this we had no way of hearing all of the incredible sound bites and seeing the amazing videos that the Internet has to offer! We have also been enjoying all of the non-fiction books we have received. They are on such a wide variety of topics that everyone is able to find something they are interested in.
I really can't thank you enough for all of your donations. As a teacher you want to give your students all that you can but that has been so difficult due to the economy as well as the devastating budget cuts to our school district. My students have blossomed and grown into amazing people and students in the three years that I have been their teacher. They have gone from students to scholars and thanks to all of you they are now gaining even more skills that will last them a lifetime. Thank you again for being such a big part of our learning journey.”

Funded Jan 21, 2012Our tablets have all arrived and they are GREAT! The students got so excited every time a new box arrived at our classroom door! We are so grateful to have more tools to enhance our daily learning. The children have already figured out how to navigate the tablets and they are used multiple times during the school day! and I can't tell you how excited they were to see a brand new pencil sharpener that actually works(we haven't had a sharpener for over three years)- it's so much easier to do research now that we are all not trying to share one computer!
Recently we have been working on expository research reports on the solar system, space, astronomers, and astronauts. While browsing the Internet in class one afternoon, one of my students found Neil Armstrong's famous words that he said from the moon. We immediately grabbed our tablets and found the same page and for the first time, we were ALL able to hear these momentous words together! This was a first for us since before this we had no way of finding and experiencing all of the incredible sound bites and videos the Internet has to offer! We have also been enjoying all of the non-fiction books we have received.
