  • Board Game After School Club!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. These games are more than just fun. They can strengthen a young student's mind and give them memories that they can hold onto for the rest of their lives. Many games offer such a fun, interactive social element that can teach the introvert and the extrovert how to connect on a level that is real. I believe these games will have a substantial impact on our students in a positive way. These items, along with a bookshelf to store them on, will greatly help many students who need a safe space to socially interact after school hours.”

    Mr. S

  • Let's Stay Fit!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. As you can you in the pictures, the kids were so happy when we unpacked the new items. My students love being active and the balls will help the students create amazing skills. My students love learning new games and working on new skills they already have to become better players. Many of our students are on teams and I know this equipment will get them excited. The students will learn how to play as a team while learning to play different games.”

  • LEGO to Foster Creativity and Build Problem-Solving Abilities

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you for helping our students have an outlet for their creativity and build their problem-solving strategies along the way. We started to build a LEGO collection for our students to use, and they absolutely LOVE it. Thanks to you we can expand on their passion for LEGO by offering them more LEGO options that will make their stories come alive! The LEGO sets will be used to challenge our students to solve real-world problems using LEGO. Our children thrive when they are able to use their creativity to create and explore. By providing them the tools they need, building with LEGO offers an opportunity for children to problem solve, think more logically, and persevere through the challenges they are given. Thank you so very much!”

  • Positive Behavior Interventions and Support

    Funded Nov 18, 2021

Thank you so much for funding our project for snack incentives for PBIS positive behavior support. Many kids struggle with behavior in school. When schools react only with punishment, students don't learn the skills they need to improve. That's where positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) comes in. PBIS is a proactive approach schools use to improve school safety and promote positive behavior.

The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. According to research, PBIS leads to better student behavior. In many schools that use PBIS, students get fewer detentions and suspensions. They also earn better grades. There's also some evidence that PBIS may lead to less bullying. Thank you for making a change in the lives of our students.”

  • Snacks and Handsoap

    Funded Oct 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity. Thanks to you our students now have snacks that we are able to give them as a reward, and sometimes just because they need a little pick me up. Once they have finished their snack, and before they eat, they can now wash their hands with Dial soap to keep the germs away. This also gives us the opportunity to teach about proper hand washing and why this is so important. Especially now during this time of COVID. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our students. You are amazing!”

  • We Can't See The Board!

    Funded Oct 2, 2021

Thank to you, the new projector bulbs can replace the old projector bulbs that do not work correctly. The new projector bulbs will help me to use the projector again, and in turn, it will help keep my students engaged and help with completing my lessons as I share my content during instruction.

The new projector bulb will keep my videos and images and other connected devices will display successfully.

With the new bulb, I will no longer have to keep changing cords and hoping that the projector can last the length of my lesson. A good working projector is essential to any classroom. I use a projector daily to show videos and general everyday instruction so that I am able to model what I want my students to learn. Thank you so much for helping our classroom.”

  • Sensory Support for Some Super Special Students!

    Funded Sep 19, 2021

I work with students who have autism and other sensory disorders. Often their sensory needs come first before learning can happen. We are teaching our students to use sensory items to help improve focus, regulate challenging behavior, and create a sense of well-being and peace in my classroom. My students process sensory information differently than most neurotypical people. This might mean they need more sensory input to be alert and able to work in school, or they might need less sensory input to keep them calm and focused. Thanks to you, we now have the resources that will impact the well-being of my students for years to come. Thank you for all your help!”

  • We Need Some Basics!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

After 17 months at home, our students have come back into the building. This means that many need some help with basic supplies. Thanks to you, the supplies in this project will help our students with basic supplies for a perfect start to a new school year. Pencils, crayons, adhesive strips, etc. will make a big difference for our families that sometimes do not, or can not, send in supplies with their students. Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Our students and I greatly appreciate your generosity and kindness.”

My students and I are in a school just outside of Philadelphia. My students are a great bunch of kids that have a lot going on on an emotional level. They often have a lot of drama going on behind closed doors that few people know about. All they need is somebody to take the time to listen to them. Because of their background, they often have a lower reading level than what their grade level indicates. Most are better learners when they are taught differently than only from books.
