  • Have a Seat!

    Funded Mar 5, 2024

Some students have a lot of sensory and physical needs being in a moderate and severe disabilities classroom. For some of our students with autism, it means that sometimes it can be difficult to sit in a chair at their desk or table when it is work time. A chair with armrests will provide these students with a great sensory boundary. Not only that, but they will be comfortable! This will help encourage my students to stay seated for longer periods during work time so that they can learn all that they can while at school. Thank you so much for helping to provide this resource for students of many years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

  • Double the Learning With Double Screens

    Funded Feb 22, 2024

Thank you so much for bringing these wonderful resources to our students. Your very generous donations have not only shown our students that there are people out there who are willing to help them to be successful by bringing resources that we otherwise would not have. But it also shows them that there are people who believe in them and that they can do great things. These resources will be available for students for many years to come. Thank you so very much for your help in making our students successful.”

  • It's Snack Time!

My students need healthy snacks to remain focused and energized in class. Healthy snacks like these snacks will ensure students will be successful in the classroom because they will have brain food.

These snacks will offer students a variety of snacks that will give them a big boost during their school day.

Students need healthy snacks and treats to remain focused in class. Healthy snacks like these snacks will ensure students will be successful in the classroom as they can focus more when they are not hungry. Snacks can help encourage concentration and re-energize tired students.

  • Mid Year Organization

    Funded Dec 28, 2023

Thank you so much for funding this project. Our space is pretty organized - however, with so many students, I am finding that we needed a few options to get us even more organized. Thank you for helping us get mid-year storage solutions to help keep our space and my students organized! Organizing a space with many students can prove to be challenging. The storage items, such as the drawer unit and the baskets will help keep our space organized and teach our students how to stay organized and help them to stay focused.”

  • Positive Postcards Home!

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

All of our teachers create a positive and interactive learning environment where our kids know that they are welcome, they are loved, they are appreciated, they are safe and they can succeed. Thanks to me, we now have these postcards and stamps for our staff to use to send home to our students for birthdays and other occasions. These postcards will be sent from teachers to students to put a positive spin on their day and to celebrate their hard work. Our students need a positive, kind note to celebrate them! Receiving a handwritten postcard in the mail is a kind gesture that promotes literacy as well as builds the home-to-school connection.

Thank you for supporting our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

  • We Would Like to Learn How to Cook

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

My classroom assistant and I create a positive and interactive learning environment where our kids know that they are welcome, loved, appreciated, safe, and can succeed.

I teach students with developmental disabilities that are at the transitional age.

My students need to learn practical skills that they can use in life after high school. Having this ice maker added to our kitchen setting will help us to teach the kids how to cook, how to measure ingredients, do math by cooking and baking, and so many more things. Thank you so much for helping to fund this project.”

  • Brainpop as a Hook for New Concept or Lesson

    Funded Sep 2, 2023

My students have Autism and other developmental disabilities, and they will benefit from high-quality digital lessons. These lessons will serve as a warm-up and provide background knowledge to students. All my students love using Brainpop to start a new concept or lesson. The students can use Brainpop to improve their understanding of the concepts. This will, in turn, allow them to learn and understand the core curriculum lessons better. The students will enjoy and benefit from this online video subscription. From all my students and myself, hank you very much for funding this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

My students and I are in a school just outside of Philadelphia. My students are a great bunch of kids that have a lot going on on an emotional level. They often have a lot of drama going on behind closed doors that few people know about. All they need is somebody to take the time to listen to them. Because of their background, they often have a lower reading level than what their grade level indicates. Most are better learners when they are taught differently than only from books.
