• The Power of Lamination!

  Thank you so very much for helping to fund this project. Unfortunately, the delivery service for Staples delivered the laminator for this project after school hours and left it outside the school building. I teach at a high school in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and somebody 'borrowed' the laminator overnight. I am working with DonorsChoose and Staples in the hope of getting a replacement ordered. I did not want my wonderful donors to think that I did not write you a thank you note. Thanks to the Twitter skills of the amazing Kelly Schmitz, so many people saw this project and made this project come true. Hopefully, the replacement will work and we will be able to put a smile and thrill on our students' faces when they look at their displayed work. The laminator will help to display their beautiful creative work! Thank you all so much for your generosity. I am so grateful.”

• Can You See Me Now?

This classroom document camera will allow me to transform individual assignments into engaging assignments for the entire class, creating more discussion, interaction, and maintaining students' attention. Visual learners will benefit from the use of a classroom document camera by examining small items, reading text, and watching demonstrations.

• Help Us Start the Day Positively.

  Thank you so much for funding this project for our classroom.

  These carpets will become very important in our daily routine. Students will use the carpets each and every day in multiple classroom exchanges. The carpets will serve as a central spot for whole group instruction, class meetings, and to work independently on literacy and math skills. These carpets are important as much of our academic learning takes place in a central spot and these carpets will be a great place for it. Having more than one carpet makes it possible to make small groups.”

• Math Books Needed

  Thank you so very much for being this project to live. I can't wait to use these brand new math books in class. I teach students with a developmental disability and often they are on a 3 rd grade math level even though they are in 9th grade. Having these books will make it possible to teach the kids practical math skills. Such as being able to order of a menu, making correct change, doing grocery shopping, etc. Those are the skills that my kids will be if it from and will use later on life. Thank you so much for making this possible.”

• Bring Some Harry Potter Magic In Our Classroom

  Thank you so very much for finding this project. These wonderful books in this awesome case that looks like Harry Potter's trunk will be a proud center piece of our classroom library. Students of many years to come will be able to experience the magical world of Harry Potter because of your generosity. There are a number of students in my current classes that will love reading these books and I also plan to use them as a read aloud for the whole class to enjoy. We may not be able to get through all books this school year, but hopefully it will inspire a love of independent reading.”

• Let Me Point This Out to You!

  Thank you so much for bringing this project to life. My students have a mental or other disability and benefit greatly from seeing their materials presented in more than one way. I often present the lesson via a PowerPoint on the board while helping students one-on-one.

  This presenter will help me to be with my students while presenting on the board.

  We will be able to use this presenter to simply advance a PowerPoint, click on links, etcetera without having to walk back to the laptop to do all these things. I now will be able to help my students and keep the flow of the lesson going.”

• Rugs for Small Group Activities

  Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. These rugs will make a difference in our classroom because they will allow my students to remain 6 feet apart during small groups. I use small groups in my classroom for reading, writing, phonics, and math groups. This seating will still allow my students to get the small group attention that they need but be as safe as possible in our classroom. This seating will also allow my students to sit comfortably on the floor and provide writing space for them as well.”

• Help Us See Some Animals!

  Thank you so vert much for helping to bring this project to our classroom. Your funding made it possible for us to get these wonderful science DVD's as a great addition to our science supplies. Our student really benefit from being able to have a visual when we are leaning about science having these DVD's makes it possible for us to see clips about animals in Africa, the many animals and fish under the sea, the journey of Apollo 11 and the planets in our solar system. • Time to Learn!

  Thank you so very much for helping the fund the large oversized, digital count down clock, Newton cradle and colorful timer. The large digital clock will help keep our students on track when they are working on independent work. Instead of me telling the students every few minutes how much time is left, they will be able to just look at the clock and how much time is left. The other two items will serve as sensory toys for a few students who often finish a little bit before the rest of the class is done.”

• Let's Print!

  Thank you so very much for helping to fund this project on DonorsChoose. Having this wireless color printer in our classroom will make it so much easier to print work that students create as well as print work, such as worksheets, for the students. In this age of COVID-19, we are trying to avoid walking around the school as much as we possibly can. Normally one of my students would have to walk to the office in order to get something that we printed in class. Now, we can stay in the relative safety of the classroom. Thank you so very much!”
