  • Please Reward Our Students for Kindness, Leadership, and Generosity

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you for helping us to build up the inventory for our class store. The items in this project will be stored in our class store where students can cash in their points from class participation, completed homework assignments, signed homework and tests, and signs of kindness, leadership, and generosity. We want to help reward students for their hard work especially during this difficult time and our class store is a great way to help motivate them. Because of your help, students will be able to cash in their earned points and select an item of their choice. This will help keep students on track and remind them that their teachers care for their work and effort during the school year. Thank you so much for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 6 other donors.
  • Storage Needed!

    Funded Apr 25, 2021

I can not thank you enough for your help in making this project a reality. We did not have space to securely store the students' personal and school items in our room. Thanks to you we now have a space that we can place our materials when they are not in use and lock them up at the end of the day.

Having these storage cabinets in our classroom helps streamline the process of getting school supplies and securing personal supplies. The cabinets will also allow the students to quickly clean up and put their projects away on their own shelves for them to use the next time they come to class.

Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of students for many years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

  • Classroom Shredder!

    Funded Apr 16, 2021

Thank you so very much for making this rocket fly! Words cannot express how much it means to my students and myself to know that there are people like you out there that believe that students can achieve anything as long as they have the proper material and motivation. This project will be used to teach our students in special education the importance of recycling paper and doing job training with students in life skills classes.

The students will learn recycling facts, and job training, through hands-on activities using a paper shredder. The lessons will be geared toward making new paper from used paper to see how recycling works. The students will understand the real-world overview of the recycling paper process. Over the years, many students in life skills classes for job training will use these shredders and trashcans.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

  • Let's Take Care of Each Other and Clean Up!

    Funded Apr 13, 2021

Thank you so very much for bringing this project to completion. Words can not describe how grateful my students and I are when we received the email that we would be getting a duster and a vacuum cleaner to keep our room clean. It will provide some job training for a number of our students, but more importantly, it will help to give a feeling of responsibility to our students in taking care of our classroom. We try to make our students understand that everybody in the school is equally important, from the principal to the cleaning staff. This project helps to make this happen. Thank you so much for making a difference.”

  • Staying Hydrated is Important!

    Funded Apr 5, 2021

Thank you so much for bringing this project to a rocket. The kids will be so happy when we get to give them these water bottles. In these Covid-19 Times, all the water fountains have been replaced with bottle fillers. Not all the kids have water bottles to refill, but thank you you, now they do. Thank you so much for helping to keep our students safe and hydrated this way. They will be able to choose from a few different models and colors so that everybody will be happy. They will decorate their own bottle as a project as well.”

  • Bean Bag Chairs for Flexible Seating

    Funded Mar 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your support of this wonderful project. With the restrictions placed on us with COVID-19, my students are in my classroom most of the day. Having these bean bags will mean that my students will be able to have an option for flexible seating instead of staying in their desks all day. Students will be able to take turns sitting on the bean bags to read, work on an assignment, or just to relax when time allows. 9th Graders can be very fidgety, thank to you these resources will allow my students to be more comfortable in the classroom. Thank you so very much.”

    With gratitude,

  • We Would Like to Cook

    Funded Mar 25, 2021

    Dear Rosemary,

Today we received all the items to set up a makeshift kitchen in our classroom. It was like Christmas morning. Thank you so much for making it possible for our students to learn some practical life skills and some math/science skills while having fun. This could not have been possible without your generosity and I cannot thank you enough for the help you have given the Southeast Delco School district over the years. Thank you for making such a big difference in the lives of our students. You are awesome!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S

Some of the books have already started to arrive. As you can see in the picture, our classroom library will be enriched with many wonderful books thanks to you. More are on their way and scheduled to arrive, but I could not wait to share this with you. I plan to blow up the inflatable solar system and have it on permanent display in my room. Mr. S

My students and I are in a school just outside of Philadelphia. My students are a great bunch of kids that have a lot going on on an emotional level. They often have a lot of drama going on behind closed doors that few people know about. All they need is somebody to take the time to listen to them. Because of their background, they often have a lower reading level than what their grade level indicates. Most are better learners when they are taught differently than only from books.
