A Brighter Future Starts With Classroom Basics
Funded Feb 27, 2025When our classroom basics arrived, my students' faces lit up with excitement. They couldn't believe the supplies were just for them! We immediately put everything to use. The pencils and erasers were a big hit, especially for our writing assignments in both English and Spanish. The Post-it Flags have become a favorite tool for tracking important ideas during our reading time. During a recent lesson on main ideas and supporting details, students used the flags to mark key parts of the text, helping them stay organized and engaged.
These materials have truly made our classroom run more smoothly. Students now have their own notebooks to keep track of their writing and math work, and it's helped them take more pride in their learning. Our next project focuses on writing personal narratives, and having individual supplies means everyone can participate fully without worrying about missing materials. Funded Jan 28, 2025When our box of supplies arrived, my students were full of excitement. They couldn't believe all the colorful pens, sharpeners, crayons, and washi tape were just for our classroom. We spent time organizing the materials together, and it quickly became a class bonding moment. One of our first projects was a bilingual vocabulary notebook where students decorated and personalized their pages with the dot stickers and washi tape. Not only did it brighten up their work, but it also made them feel proud of what they were creating. Having tools like erasable pens and highlighters has helped my students feel more confident about writing and revising in both languages.
These supplies have made a huge impact on our learning routines. With sharpeners that actually work and erasers that last, we're able to transition smoothly between reading, writing, and creative tasks without the stress of worn-down pencils or missing materials. We're currently working on a science journal project where students record their observations in English and Spanish. Having access to fun, colorful supplies has made this a favorite activity. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom feels more organized, more creative, and more student-centered. We are so grateful!”

Funded Oct 7, 2024The impact of this project on my students has been profound. With the addition of the new books, my classroom has transformed into a vibrant reading environment where students eagerly explore stories that resonate with their diverse backgrounds and interests. The Amelia Bedelia Box Set and The Bad Guys Box Set introduce humor and excitement, sparking engaging discussions and encouraging students to share their thoughts. Meanwhile, the Dog Man: The Supa Epic Collection and The Baby-sitters Club Graphic Novels provide relatable characters and situations, fostering empathy and understanding. These texts not only promote reading for enjoyment but also develop critical thinking and comprehension skills as students analyze plots and characters.
In our classroom, reading is an interactive and dynamic experience. Students often gather in small groups to discuss their favorite books, sharing insights and recommending titles to one another. Some students have even taken it upon themselves to lead mini book clubs, where they dive deeper into the stories, further enhancing their collaborative skills. It's heartwarming to see how certain students, who previously struggled with reading, have blossomed into confident readers, excitedly sharing what they've learned from their new favorites. Overall, this project has not only enriched our classroom library but has also created a supportive community of readers who inspire and uplift one another. Thank you for making this possible!”

The excitement on their faces when they saw the snacks for the first time was priceless! We've incorporated these snacks into our daily routine, offering them during breaks to keep everyone refreshed and engaged.
One specific moment that stands out was during a challenging math lesson when the students were starting to lose focus. We took a quick snack break, and after enjoying some Goldfish Crackers and Welch's Fruit Snacks, they returned to their work with renewed enthusiasm and energy.

The Mini Dry Erase Lap Boards have revolutionized our interactive lessons, making learning engaging and fun. The stickers and colorful supplies have sparked their creativity, turning dull assignments into exciting projects. When my students first laid eyes on these materials, their faces lit up with enthusiasm and wonder. It was a moment of pure joy!
Currently, we are utilizing these resources to enhance our current science project, creating visually captivating presentations with the laminating pouches and using the #2 pencils and highlighters for detailed note-taking. Funded May 5, 2023I shared the great news with my students about getting fully funded for the National Geographic and Magic Treehouse books. Some jumped up and down, others cheered and clapped.
Since I have a small classroom library, they quickly signed out the new books and began reading them. It's the highlight of their day when they get to read the new books.
