All of our children deserve a classroom environment they feel safe, cared for, and supported. Last year with COVID, we used makeshift sneeze guard boards that fell apart by the end of the year, and these students deserve better with sturdy, functional, and operational sneeze guards. With budget cuts this school year, we weren't given start-up funds to prep our classrooms with the basic tools needed for the school year. Alternate portable table trays are also ideal for movement for our special education learners. Providing them the learning resources to support their return to the classroom after a school year impacted by COVID-19 along with continued protective gear such as a no-contact thermometer to keep everyone safe and legos enough for each student to have their own set for the year, classroom supplies to start the year off (folders, dry erase markers, dry erase boards, pens), behavior management tools (legiliner, fidget toys, and classroom incentives (whistle, suspend tool game, fidget toys, legos). These would be absolute blessings in our class and would move us forward to a great start of a successful year.
