  • Let's Flip and Turn with Puzzle Mania

    I and the children of my classroom would like to thank you both for the wonderful puzzles we received. The different types of puzzles have been an asset to the classroom environment. The children are learning how to manipulate the pieces and have been practicing words that go hand in hand with puzzles, such as flip and turn.

    Thanks for supporting Early Education and understanding the development of young children by providing these types of donations to children who are in desperate need of materials in Thier school learning environment.”

  • Putting Things Together Begins In Pre-School!

    I would like to thank everyone who participated in fully funding Putting Things Together Begins in

    Preschool project. It was such a delight to receive these materials when they were needed the most.

    The children were waiting patiently for the arrival and would ask daily if the mailman had made the

    delivery. When the parcel arrived, the excitement of simply opening it was as exciting to them as what was in the box. Each puzzle was introduced to the children. The look on their faces was

    priceless, again thanks to Donors Choose.

    It is people like you who are enabling the children to have an amazing first start while in school.

  • A-Mazing Artists in Pre-School

    Funded Nov 15, 2011

    I am pleased to inform you that the materials we have received have really made a difference in the children's art work. This was our first fully funded project and it came in December of 2011. It couldn't have came at a better time. The art supplies were first used in a workshop, where the parents of the children came into the classroom and worked on a project with Thier child. They used the art supplies to collage their stockings or their ornament.

    The children also used the art supplies to work independently on their personal art collage, that was displayed in one of the boards of Thier classroom for all to see. Many of the materials were new to the children. The expressions on their faces when working with the new supplies was fantastic.

    The staff and I want to again thank everyone from Donors Choose for thinking of the children and understanding the importance of Art in the classroom. There were many pictures taking of the children working with the new art materials, but posted only six. Take a look at the pictures and see what joy you have brought to many.”

The students of my classroom are considered socially and economically disadvantaged by the Department of Education. The majority of them speak only Spanish and come from a single parent home. The children in my classroom are four years of age. They will be entering Kindergarten next school year. My GOAL is to help provide an enriched learning environment while they are at the learning center.
