On Your Mark, Get Set and Collage While in Preschool!
Funded Nov 10, 2021when our package arrived to the center, it was opened in front of the kiddos for all to see. Our team placed the items onto a table and went over each one of them. The kiddos gained vocabulary and were so excited to see new items added to our Art Area.
The items were labeled and ready to be used.
The Art Area has stepped up because of the donations we received from our project. These new stickers, wiggly eyes, colorful pipe cleaners, and more help build the creative side of the brain. It's great to see our Art Area fully stocked with different types of items to boost their art pieces.
The incorporation of the Arts in early childhood has many benefits, and children's involvement in Arts-infused programs and activities will develop their cognitive, creative, social and emotional skills, playing a large part in their optimal development.”

Funded Sep 8, 2021Thank you all for donating to my Project, I am a Preschool Artist". The Kiddos and I put this project together and everyday, we would check to see if there were any donations towards our project. When it was fully funded we were all so excited about the great news, we cheered, some jumped up and down and others started talking about what was the first thing they were going to paint.
When the items did come in, we opened the packages together as a classroom family. One of the aides had to build the easel, so we turned that into a teachable moment. They learned about patience, tools and at last, the outcome , a brand new easel for the classroom. We also took out the new watercolor sets and the easel paper and we were all ready to paint.
We placed the easel in the outdoor area, and used the watercolors for our small group time. They learned how to use both. They have learned that painting with paint and painting with watercolors are both fun. These little kiddos are on their way to becoming great Artist thanks to all of you!”

Funded Jun 21, 2021Thank you for the donations that helped fully fund my project. This project has already impacted my classroom in many ways. The students were happy to have so many different materials to help them build and sharpen their many different skills.
They are using the Magic Board to reinforce skills they are learning throughout the school year, such as the letters of the alphabet, numbers, and writing their name. This tool is perfect for providing the students with a simple prompt each day to promote daily writing practices.
They also are using their Write and Draw Journal to draw something about the Read a Loud they have listened to. In this activity, they get to first use their pencil to draw something they remember about the story and second they get to use the crayons to color in their drawing, just like a true artist would do. Once they have completed their drawings, they are asked to describe what they have drawn and it is written in the journal.
We are all so grateful for your generosity and for supporting Early Education.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018The staff, the children, and I Ms. Villalobos would like to thank you for fully donating
to my project, The Giving Tree Continues After Preschool. The culminating children will
forever remember some of the lessons this book offers. The book exposes the children to lessons such as unconditional love, friendships, the uses of the environment, culture and the concept of aging. The story helped in the classroom when we were on our Tree Study.
It made it clear to the children that a tree has many uses, and they will forever remember this wonderful study.”

Funded Aug 4, 2016Dear Donors of "Every Child Deserves an Opportunity to Become an Artist",
The students and the whole class were very exciting when our package was delivered and we received all of our special items for our Art area The first thing that the children used were the aprons. The children helped replace the old aprons with the new colorful ones. They loved the colors and they were happy to finally wear an apron that didn't bother their neck. The old aprons were worn and torn and over the years had become stiff and unattractive to the eye.
The next thing that I did was replace all the old crayons with the new Jumbo crayons. The children were excited to use crayons that were in its whole form, instead of in small pieces. The Art area became a popular area with these new items. The children used the crayons to color pictures for the mom, their dad, and other extended family member.
The children were also very excited about the 3D collage box that was filled with many things a artist could use in order to create their own 3D art. The box contained items such as sticks, pom-poms in four sizes, and foam pieces in different shapes. The children were able to use their imagination to build robots, flowers, animals and trees.
I would like to thank you again for fully funding this art project and believing in Early Childhood Education.”

Balancing the Energy Scale in Preschool
Funded Feb 19, 2015The staff and I would like to thank you for helping fund our project, "Balancing the Energy Scale in Preschool". The children were informed that this project was funded and waited patiently until it arrived. The children were excited and couldn't wait to start exercising. It has been a few weeks now since the arrival of the fitness cycle and the children are still talking about it with their families and writing about it in their weekly journals.
This introduction to physical fitness at a young age, is and has been a long time dream of mine. You have made this dream a reality and I can't thank you enough!!! Thanks for believing in my dream and making it a reality. Together we will make a difference.”

Funded Oct 21, 2014The staff, the children and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your kind donations that helped fully fund my project " Celebrate Accomplishments". The power shot camera came right on time. The camera came in handy when it took it's first pictures of Red Ribbon Week. Our first visitors that came to open Red Ribbon week, were the Highway Patrol. They brought in their 900 pound motorcycle, their car, their SUV, and", their mascot Chipper the chipmunk. The children were excited to take their pictures with the officers, their vehicles, and chipper. The camera was a great asset, because we were able to take pictures and document this special event.
This past week was a very stressful week, due to our DRDP'S. They are paper work that measure the progress of the children. I had all my evidence ready, things such as observations, and check lists and assessments, but i didn't have many pictures. I am now snapping away with the new camera and capturing all the progress the children are making in all areas of development.
The camera has also helped with labeling the classroom with pictures of the toys and materials. It makes it easier for the children to put away their toys in the proper place. This new resource is a treasure to the classroom. It was also just in time for the Holiday events that are being planned Thanks again for your donations, and for supporting Early Childhood Education.”

Funded Nov 16, 2013Thank you all so much for fully funding the "Garden Up In Pre-School project. The children and I were excited when we received the parcel. We all opened it on share day as a group. The staff and I explained to the children that because of your genorosity, we were going to be able to grow vegetables in our classroom. The children also were excited to see the new classroom puzzzles of the many different fruits. They arrived just in time. We are constantly reminding them of the importance of eating fruit on a daily basis.
The children are beginning to write about the fruits and healthy choices in their weekly journal. Their vocabulary has increased and their knowledge of fruit has also expanded due to these new puzzles.”

Funded Dec 25, 2013The new additions to the music area have already made a difference in the classroom. This project was made because of a little guy in my classroom who is very active, and liked to bang on the furniture with the rhythm sticks. Although the staff and I tried to model the proper use , he insisted on banging. I realized that we didn't have a drum to offer him or a variety of instruments for the other children, who were interested in using instruments, when they are in "Band Practice" I have noticed that this year, the children love music, have good rhythm and can follow a beat.
Thanks to all of you, the children have drums to beat, and a variety of other instruments to use while they listen to their music. This music project solved many of the problems we were facing in the classroom and all we did was follow the interest of the children. The children the staff and I, can't thank you enough. .It was a complete change for the better thanks to all of you!!!”

Funded Sep 25, 2013Thank you both so very much for helping to fund "Garden Up in Preschool 2". It couldn't have arrived at a better time. Our theme for the first week of December is, "Food and Nutrition". These new realistic puzzles of fruit is exactly what the children need to begin understanding the importance of healthy eating. It is important to reach children at this age and begin exposing them to foods that will prevent them from future risks of becoming overweight or obese.
The indoor garden will be used to grow fruits and vegatables. Vegetables are especially "underconsumed" by children. This will be the perfect way to encourage children to begin practicing healthy eating habits. Schools must set a good example.”
